LBP2 MK Project

Hey all, lately I've been looking for ways to kill time waiting for the new MK release so I started working on a LBP2 version of MK. Inspired by this


Here's a few screens from it so far, sorry for the low res I took them with my BB :)

Any feed back would be great. Still a long way to go before it's done and I tend to drop most of my lbp projects before completion but I hope to have a roster of 16 and 8 stages for the final product. Right now I have a working Menu and the sub menu is implemented but doesn't have any features yet, 4 playable characters seen in the pic above with alt costumes and 3 stages all a work in progress. Adding blood and a fatality system next time I get a chance to tinker with it :D

Damn, I wish I had LBP2, because I'd play this. That Dead Pool stage you made looks awesome.

I never played LBP so tell me,u can actually make all the character and stages without using mods?
 
Man, that looks fun! I've played several MK-themed levels on LBP1 but none of 'em are anything like this! Most of them wound up just being Techno Syndrome. Haha.

Basically the way it works is you collect different costumes and materials like stone or wood petterns as you play through the story mode. I made this with things collected through the first and second game as well as this glitch

I don't have LBP2, but I would love to see your game complete and in action.

it looks really slow, can it go faster

I can change the walking speed and maybe some of the specials speeds but that would be about it. It feels a little faster when its not just me beating on dead weight but not a whole lot. I plan on working on some AI for a one player version but for now its a Vs. game.

I didn't know LBP2 let you get that creative, you seriously recreated Noob's fatality!

Yeah LBP had a cool level editor but with 2 they actually included a game creation editor. People are doing some amazing things with it. Everything from old school games like asteroids to FPS and top down racing and twin stick shooters.

did you get anything done in LBP2 while playing MK? :-D

I've been bouncing back and fourth between this and MK9 since PSN has been down. I have 8 playable fighters that I'm sort of polishing and debugging now. Fatalities were glitching pretty bad so I'm reworking those currently but the demo has been published and is up for play on the LBP2 servers with 5 characters and 4 stages.

Thanks for all the positive feedback and I'll update with a video or some pics when I get a chance.

Cool!! Looking forward seeing it in action... 5 characters and 4 stages.... tons of work I presume.
