this is the problem!!! reviving jax is the same as reviving kung lao! why? COZ THEY BOTH Died! so obviously NRS listens to whiney fan boys who want the same game over an over again....

Its not the same lol.. Jax is not in the same popularity league as Kung Lao so why would MK even want to include Jax

You aren't one who should judge others to be "whiney fan boys". Look at your own recent posts. They strike me as whiney and fanboyish, just about others. Question is, why is this so important to you? Why do you turn this into such a big deal? It's just a game.
 
Kung Lao is awesome! I'm glad he made it back in. I don't know how he made it back in, but im happy he did. he was my fave in MK9 just because of his fighting style alone. I cant wait to see how he made it back to the world of the living! is he a Quan chi enforcer (awesome!), was he some how healed by ancient eastern medicine and sorcery? was there more time hopping involved( i hope not this). Ive always liked kung lao, and who's to say he wasnt planned to be in MKX since day 1?! i see a lot of complaints and it just makes me think, "get real lives losers!!!" lol! its only a game!!! KL is awesome, was always cooler than kang was. He's White lotus and they were always known as more of a mysterious, mystical cult than, a monastery of monks and priests like shaolin, so yeah i can see how he could be back based on the the history and folklore of the White lotus sect. I'm still excited for MKX. Sorry if somma youse dont like wuts goin awn hea!

Reviving Kung Lao is as equally dumb and is already listening to fan requests, as has been pointed out.
I don't see why he should be revived over Jax, Kitana, Smoke, Sindel, Jade, Nightwolf, Sindel, Stryker, or Liu Kang.
Kung Lao isn't an icon like Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden and Liu Kang which is needed for MK games, and he can easily sit out a game or 2, as has been proven in the past.

I also find it hilarious that [MENTION=12345]Tarkatan Trash[/MENTION], who essentially wants another MK3 with a brand new coat of paint, is telling people to leave the fanbase if they don't like it.
This is coming from the guy who hates the notion of NEW MKX characters getting some time to shine over klassic characters? :laugh:
So, the people who want to see something new for the franchise and want it to expand and grow should leave, and the people like you who want the same things over and over again (which will inevitably turn it into another 3D era) who are stuck in a nostalgia trip, should stay? :laugh:
You've got it the other way around.
It's fans like me who want to see this franchise grow by not being stuck in the past.

There are overzealous fanboys on both sides of the spectrum. Doesn't mean any of them are right though.
 
I hope they have a good explanation for Kung Lao being added, but as much as I want to be happy about his return I can't be. This messes up my entire idea of what I thought MKX would be. I don't want to see other dead people back. I want new people and the surviving cast. Maybe Kung Lao broke free from neather realm. Maybe one of his main focus will be to help the others.
 
How do you all figure that Kung Lao isn't under Quan chi's control .I absolutely hate Kung Lao but good god people .

How about the KL that was an EVO star instead of worrying about which KL it is in the story?

Why not?
If people can speculate on the "Sea of Sub-Zeros" comment, then why can't people also speculate on this being another person who took up the "Kung Lao" name?
MKX is all about descendants, and he looks pretty different face-wise, than MK9 Kung Lao.

Not really sure how much of a descendant he could be when he looks that old, and dresses up exactly like Kung Lao.

You don't know why he should be revived over them, but you will when the game comes out. Withhold judgement till you play the game.

Even Cassie doesn't dress like mother Sonya or father Johnny. She is her own character in design, yet is remniscent of her parents.
Kung Lao simply looks like an older version of the Kung Lao we saw in MK9.

Also, that looks nothing like MK9 Kung Lao.
