Kratos Maybe A Permenant Character For The MK Franchise!!!

Yeah i def feel the same way! But as far as Kratos being on the main roster from here on out is alil ridiculous to me. Him as a guest appearence from time to time is good enough. Maybe he could eventually have his on chapter in the story but nothing major or that would interfer with the actual story.
 
No. Just...No. You can't integrate a permanent MK character that will only be available on one console. It would make no sense to include Kratos in the story if he can't be in other consoles. The only possible way this would work is if MK became a PS3 exclusive franchise, which would never happen. The fan base is too big to make that kind of decision. I just don't see that happening unless Kratos through an act of God became a multi-platform character.
 
I refuse to believe it until I get a more firm source than "From the things I've heard..."

But if It turns out to be true I'm going to be pissed. Making Kratos an integral part of the Mortal Kombat story would just be taking a big shit on every Mortal Kombat fan who prefers the 360.

Yo, man. Are you sure it isn't likely? I've been having this weird feeling ever since Kratos hit the ground that MK9 may actually be the last multi platform MK.

I doubt it.

1. Mortal Kombat has been multiplatform since the beginning.
2. WB obviously favors the Ps3 because of their deals with Sony (look at Batman AA's dlc) but they still release games on both platforms.
3. NRS claims to be all about fan service. Making MK a ps3 exclusive would be the biggest dick slap since Armageddon.

But IF by some horrible way it did happen my days with MK would be done. It is my second favorite gaming franchise, but I'm not about to jump ship for them right after they spit in my face.

Thats very true, Sony has so much money they dont even know what do do with it. Sony can be a huge influence on WB, not to mention they are affiliates. Look how successful the god of war franchise is and it is not multiplatform.
 
Mortal Kombat might be riding high right now, but there's no way NRS can afford to make it a console-exclusive title in this market. The fighting genre is becoming over-crowded again, and in a console generation that's seen both VF and Tekken go from being Playstation exclusives to multiplatform titles, I don't see MK bucking this trend.
 
I think at most it will just be him in the future games like he is now. In for versus and a ending for him in arcade mode. That it. Him being banned from tournies shouldn't be the reason to exclude him. They can get around that.

For those that missed it, I was basically saying that NRS should just do what they really want to do and go Sony exclusive.

I never said that he isn't a good thing for MK, I said that there'd be too much backlash from fans if he was permanently in the new storyline. And I really don't know why you thought I was only talking about people on TRMK who don't like him, because there are way more people outside of TRMK who already went apeshit over Kratos being in the game, and they'd somehow go even more apeshit if he was permanent. And yes, there are people who would boycott MK if Kratos became permanent. There's actually a lot of them over on MK's Facebook page if you don't believe me.

will if it is then i feel very sad for the xbox 360 users imagin you never playing another mk game ever again unless you pay $300 for a ps3

honestly, i dont care if Boon, You, NRS or the entire TRMK community doesn't miss me when im gone, if your going to accept an outsider into the mk universe, then go ahead and be NRS and sell out, only a REAL mk fan wouldnt want this s*** to happen, and by the way you responded to me it seems your very well for it -__-

like i said before if this s*** happens im jumping ship to tekken where no console gets an exclusive and they dont sell out their game to make a quick buck
