Kotal Kahn... a relative of Shao Kahn? The Konqueror himself?

What i mean for being a rip off would it would be to easy and simple to sell him as a relative to Shao Kahn, Simply bc they already are alike to me. Shao Kahn is a Big Guy, So is Kotal Kahn, Shao Kahn is pretty damn strong, So is Kotal Kahn. SK wields a War Hammer, KK wields wat looks t be a Spiked clubbed/sword. An although they look different from their attires, look at pictures closly, I see Shao Kahn!

As far as Kano goes, I know he isn't a fan favorite, but he is my favorite. But he has survived every game he was in and i would lie to see how it ends considering this new game will be introducing the next generations of fighters.

-Going by that logic : Goro, Kintaro, Onaga and a few others are all rip offs of Kahn because they are "big and strong"? Come on, now...

-I can understand your desire to see more Kano. I personally despise him... But I get it. There are several characters I'd like to see more of and probably never will. Honestly, I don't see Kano making an appearance in this game. I can see them mentioning him in passing, but that's it.

The only way I'd like to see Kano involved with MKX is if he was responsible for killing Sonya or Cage at one point and Cassie continues her mother's mission to hunt him down. Though that would be more repetition we may not need.

This is pretty much the ONLY reason that I see for keeping Kano too.
Aside from him hunting down Sonya and Johnny, I don't see him being that pivotal in MK X.

Actually, now that I think about it, I really hope that Kano doesn't kill them in MK X, when they're 50 years old.

He sold Earthrealm weapons to Shang Tsung and Shao Kahn. Said weapons were used against Earthrealm's denizens during Shao Kahn's invasion.

Least amount of story impact in comparison to Johnny, Sonya and Raiden (who basically stopped Armageddon) Scorpion (who killed Sub-Zero, thus enabling the creation of Noob Saibot, Quan Chi's henchman who helped create the Soulnado, trapping all of Earth's souls) and Sub-Zero (who also joined the forces of light as well as being turned into a cyborg) and Liu Kang who stopped Shao Kahn twice in the first 2 tournaments.

Aside from being another Shao Kahn lackey, Kano didn't do much.
Supplying weapons isn't much compared to what the other 6 contributed to the story.

The thought of a soul-stealing, almost immortal sorceror needing to buy guns boggles my mind.

On the contrary, I see it more like being able to step on ants but getting toothpicks to crush the ants with them instead.

His name is dumb, but, he looks awesome as balls. Kinda reminds me of the enemies from RE 5.

So, given what we know so far this guy is the ''Sun God'', ''Blood God'' and ''War God''. That sure is a lot of godhood for one person.

In comparison elemental gods like Raiden only have one power.

Which makes me think he might be one of the Elder Gods, chosen by his pairs as their champion to make sure the Shao Khan ordeal doesn't repeat itself. Just a guess tho. I also support the idea that the word 'Khan' is just a title for rulers.

That's entirely possible, guess we'll see. I can't wait to find out more about him. Him and D'Vorah are the two characters that interest me the most out of the new characters shown so far.

I'm grasping at straws here, but...my guess is Kotal Kahn is Shao Kahn's father. Kotal Kahn has been likened to "a Raiden of Outworld". Shao Kahn was a demigod. If Kotal Kahn is said god, like Raiden is to earthrealm, it's entirely possible that Kotal is the god that fathered Shao Kahn.

^ It would be quite interesting to see him as Shao Kahn's father. Perhaps he could have been the protector god of outworld. The existence of Onaga though won't make it possible I feel.

Kotex Khan. The Blood God.

That is not okay.

Khan is a title, but Kahn is not.. and he's Kotal Kahn, not Kotal Khan. I think he might be related to Shao Kahn somehow, although his Aztec gear - even wielding a macahuitl (that's his weapon) - makes me wonder.

Although I do love the idea that he's Outworld's protector god. But I think he's probably a mortal that, like Noob-Zer013 said, gains the power of the god he worships.
