A post on another forum made me realize something that I don't think has been mentioned yet, and a lot of people (myself included) seem to be forgetting.

Unless you pre-ordered the game from certain retailers, the existing retros for Sub-Zero, Reptile, Kitana and Jade (as well as Scorpion, Ermac and Mileena) are NOT free like those offered with the compatibility packs. If you didn't pre-order (or didn't do so from every single store that offered the klassics (and somehow got full price back)), you had to pay to get the MK1 males and MK3 females. And not everybody has done that, so not everybody has those klassics. That means only Smoke, Noob, Cyrax and Sektor have FREE retros, and thus all the other ninjas are still fair game (again, since not everyone has them, and these being offered free are a means to entice people who aren't purchasing the DLC (who chances are, also didn't buy the klassic skins pack) to get the compatibility packs).

So yeah.... MK2 Kitana and Jade are still very much a possibility (and I really hope that's the case), but a more likely pairing would be MK2 Sub-Zero and Reptile (with MK2 Scorpion and Ermac being with CP#4).

If we're really bringing out the tin foil hats, Ryu and Ken had blue and lime main alternate colors in Street Fighter

That's not bad, but I really think they'd bust out UMK3 ninjas if that's the case. I guess. I have no idea what the hell they're doing.

It would be great. Those who don't agree come up with reasons like it wouldn't make sense, like anything makes sense in MK. Plus this makes sense just read the OP in this thread...

That and the kneepads/elastic string hanging, but yeah, man. I just can't tell if they're trolling us or not. The fact that they're keeping it such a secret makes me think it will be something like UMK3 ninjas or MK2 ladies. Totally lost...
