yeah that would be a nice twist. kitana sounds vicious but Mileena needs to remain the evil twin, no way around that.
my favorite part about the Kitana reaveal trailer is how she transitions the run into the grab, the way she jumps over kano like that looks so smooth.

It could be a kind of reluctant partnership that needs to happen temporarily so they can both take down some kind of a common enemy (Reiko maybe?).
I hope one of Kitana's alternate outfits has her with loose long hair or a long braid. I feel like that look works for perfectly for Kitana, but NRS needs to get it right dammit!
I.E.
That would look awesome on Kitana, especially if it were held together by a gold ring at the root.

The problem with MK9 Kitanta was her hair moved like one large clump. They needed to be broken down into smaller strands that move independently, like Lili from Tekken.

After today's stream, i've been thinking if they gave up on showing Kitana and Reptile for now cause their conversations with other kharacters may reveal things from story mode...

I can't say I agree. 1.) They just revealed a crapton of important conversations for Ermac. 2.) They could just use fighters vs. them that don't have important story intros/don't meet in the story, i.e. Cassie.
3.) Reptile... reveal... story? :/

I have 3 hypothesis, 1) they do reveal important fragments of story
2) kitty's and reptile's variations are awesome so they want to create more hype
3) Kitana is mileena, and her dialogues were going to reveal that, so they decided to keep them secret

Or maybe they just wanted to focus on Kung Lao and Ermac first

They shouldn't have Mileena disguised as Kitana even as an alternate. Mileena is just too good of a character to do that to and can be amazing as she is.

That already happened once in the original timeline. And the ruse worked to perfection in the story because Kitana's allies largely believed Mileena to be dead. Obviously, that is not the case, so Mileena would be fooling absolutely nobody.

Yeah, but mileena would do everything for power, and we still don't know the story, so it could have a good explanation....
But, as time passes, i think it's most unlikely this will be mileena, however i just want a proper confirmation and that's it

I doubt that will happen on MKX. It hapenned before, but she was still Mileena, using her own colors and sais.

Kitana is looking amazing in MKX to me. I just hope that her moveset will match her aesthetics.
Also there's no doubt in my mind that she wasnt shown off because both her and Reptile are still "too raw". I believe she was released just to quite fans demand for a female character to be released. Many commented on how chunky and unfinished reptile looked in his promo. Just some random thoughts.

I see no reason why that would be Mileena dressed as Kitana. Even in MKD, though Mileena posed as Kitana in the story, her gameplay was still that of herself and WE as players knew from the very start it was Mileena!

Part of me actually hopes it is Mileena and not really Kitana. I think it would be such a smart move on their behalf for MK X. The only reason I can't see this happening is because she's been officially revealed as Kitana. I don't think they'd go to the effort of mentioning 'Kitana' in a reveal video and a render only for them to say it's Mileena. Especially after getting Kitana fans all excited. Also the moveset is obviously Kitana's
