Kano's missing special move...

You can also see Kano use his eye laser on one of the captured marines. But in-game it wouldn't really serve a real purpose. It would be a type of projectile attack, which he already can throw knives.

I wish Quan Chi's skull throws were how they were in MK4, and I wish he looked how he did in MK4. He reminded me of Pinhead from Hellraiser. The skull is at about a minute in.

I was just watching someone play story mode next to me yesterday and thought it was odd Kano didn't use his cybernetic eye in gameplay or a fatality. Preferable a fatality but that's just me.

I'd like if he did the knifeleg -> knifeleg -> Laser Lobotomy for his X-ray. But really, the laser isn't needed. I suppose it's good for the same reason as Subby's Ice Beam in that it can't be jumped. Maybe have it in one of his combos as a low attack? Punch Punch Laser to the shins. That way it stays short-range and not OP.

Shooting an eye lazor is hokey and stupid. I'm glad he doesn't have it. He's badass enough as it is. Did Arnold shoot a laser out of his eye in T1 or T2? No, he was too awesome for that campy stuff. So is Kano. (Sad they did have him do it in story mode, but oh well).

And looking at that MK4 video, I remember now why I abandoned MK after 3.

Yea, kano needs the laser, without them, is only canonball and knifes, the laser makes a "little"difference between others.

I was hoping the Enhanced version would be a bigger skull that chomped on the opponent but nope, it does not. Gladly his back throw has the skull that bites on the opponents neck.

On Topic:

I don't like Kano's eye laser, it's stupid... I like that it's only used in the story. I think of it more of a high-tech eyepatch than a actual laser eye.

^^This.

I do like his current X-Ray, but imagine : knife to leg, knife to leg, he leans in close and burns their face off. That'd be pretty cool. Maybe we'll see some DLC fatalities which uses the laser-eye

(Hell, maybe his friendship : candlelight diner where he ignites the candles with his laser eye. lol.)

it just has to much spammer use.

remember Darkseid /Superman how people would over use it I say it's not needed he has so much potential that it would put his character in to a group the he is just on the outside of.

(spammer group)

Kano didn't have a laser eye attack in MK 1 or 3, which is why I wouldn't say that it's "missing."

what Fusionized said.

Wrong.

He had an eye laser fatality in MK3. He also uses the eye laser during story mode cut scenes. There's no reason why he shouldn't have either an eye laser special or fatality in this game, especially when he uses the eye laser in story mode. He also had an eye laser special added to his moves in MKDA, MKA and MKvDCU. MKDA and MKA take place after MK3, but MKvDCU takes place between MK2 and MK3 (theoretically, if you even count the game).

If they could waste a perfectly good fatality on Shang and give him that stupid Clown fatality from MKvDCU, then the OP has a point: a Kano eye laser IS curiously missing from the game.

Yeah, I thought the skull for Quan Chi was a lot more interesting than in this game. I also liked MK 4 Quan Chi's teleport stomp move a lot more as well.

Kano's laser should have been in if they used it in story mode, that was such a tease.

No, you are wrong.

Kano did not have a laser attack in MK1 & 3.
He had the laser fatality, but who didn't have crazy outlandish fatalities in that game?

And he was talking the physical games MK1 and 3, not the storyline.

I also thought Quan Chi's enhanced skull throw was going to be the bigger one that chews on you.
I was disappointed by its absence.

No, you are wrong.

Okay, I'm warning you now only one time: let's not start one of these. If you're really going to nitpick at me for something so stupid, you'll only turn this into retarded argument.

He had an eye laser fatality. Fine. He didn't have an eye laser ATTACK, but he had an eye laser fatality. So he utilized the eye laser in Mortal Kombat 3. So sorry kiddo, I'm not wrong. Kano's cyber eye has had a laser-based attack, be it in the form of a fatality or otherwise, since that game.

And I don't see the point you're trying to make when you say "he was talking about the physical games of mK 1 & 3, not the storyline". Are you trying to tell me that Kano using the eye laser in the story mode is irrelevant, and therefore, does not canonically exist because he doesn't have it as a move? Are you saying the story mode and the fighting aspect of the game are two seperate, unrelated entities?

Since this got turned into an argument of idiocy, let me clarify:

The OP says Kano's eye laser is missing. Kano has had an eye laser in some form since MK3. So the OP is right, Kano is missing an eye laser in gameplay, despite using it in story mode.

His eye laser attack wouldn't fit in MK9, the gameplay is much more fast-paced now and having an eye laser attack for Kano would get in the way of that. The gameplay in the 3D games was slower than the gameplay in MK9, so Kano using his eye laser as a special move fit in those games.

I would have liked to see it as part of one of his fatalities, though.

I was at first disappointed by no eye laser move, but after playing for a bit I think they made the right move. He fights very "real" and brutal in a way, like Stryker does too in this game. It would seem out of place for him to have that move as it is a little hokey, which doesn't suit his play style in this game. I'm happy they left it out, and I loved that move back in MK1.
