Jax and other grapplers.

Watching vids of Jax, and I have to say, man is he a BEAST in this game!

Never liked him b4, but now he'll be one of my mains for sure.
Makes me wish their were more grappler types in the roster.

Back to the point...
Are there any grapplers besides Jax? ...Kano?
 
From the gameplay I've seen, I haven't seen anyone implement as much grappling into their fighting as much as Jax.

Did you notice the knives on his boot disappear for a while after being thrown? OK, they magically grow back soon after, but it's a nice little detail, isn't it?
 
Y'know, Jax should've been included in the demo since he's so different from the other fighters. He looks like a LOT of to use.
 
Agreed that he looks amazing now! Never liked him in any of the older games.

As for any other grappler i can't think of anyone. Kano's playstyle doesn't look grapplisch!
 
Can't think of any but I wish there were. I've always loved Jax. He was the first one I used to beat arcade mode for MKDA.
 
i dont know of any other like TRUE grapplers but the close range fighters will be like, Kano, Jax, Johnny Cage, etc.

It looks like if Jax can get in on you he will rape you hardcore, but with almost everyone having a teleport, he will be hard to master i bet

and yes Kano's intro = SICK

I could just stare at my avatar all day long its such a sick intro

and i have to say this - with me behind the wheel of kano - this will never happen, jax = destroyed 8-)
 
Beating a teleport character is easy because if you block them sucessfully you can make them pay with a juggle combo, this will make your opponent think twice everytime he is about to teleport, Lol I love playing mind game with my opponent it makes them second guess themselves on the battle field

A brah you noticed at the begining kano grabs him out the air and calls him a b***h lol

Yessir Jax is pretty badass at close quarters. Cant see tue damage meter but i can imagine...
Is it me or did Kano call Jax a B**** when he caught him in the air in tue first few seconds lol?!
 
I've never been that into Jax myself. I thought him as a character was pretty cool, but the gameplay just didn't fit my style of play. In this game, much like every other character so far, he definitely looks fun to play as. I'll give him a try, but something tells me he'll still be someone I don't mesh well with, but at least he brings a completely unique style to the game. That I can appreicate, but I just can't do well with a grappler I don't think.

Agreed. I think he's interesting in this game but I don't see myself using him often.
