It's not Khrome in the picture, but since the MK team has a habit of turning rumors into reality (Ermac, Skarlet, even Hydro's appearance in MK Legacy) we shouldn't be surprised at all if he shows up in the future.
 
The only way the Smoke Toy Factory Accident ever showed up was as an April Fool's joke for clearing the tower associated with the quintessential Troll Holiday. And if NRS is listening to its fans, they will see for themselves that making this particular "rumor" true is a bad idea.

Wow...It's bad enough that they spam MK fansites, or gaming sites in general with this bullshit. But a Social Anxiety Support board, that has nothing to do with either?! It is painfully transparent to me that their idiocy clearly knows no boundaries. Perhaps I should monitor a Final Fantasy VII fansite and a Star Wars fansite I'm on a lot more closely for "Smoke Doll Toy Factory Accident" spammers on those boards as well.

You'd get grey. Chrome is a more shiny, silvery metallic colour, because that is what chrome is.
And no, it's not just in "the pc world".
