This is so funny because there will never be a gay character in MK LOL. Might as well drop the topic because it's not going to happen.

Then her having a mixture of moves and abilities from johnny and sonya wouldn't make sense. Also her personality being similar to there's wouldn't either. Her being the biological child of two mk icons adds to her character and story.

Incubus, don't play that card with me. You know I've never attacked you for being gay and have stated plenty of times I don't have a problem with any gay person in real life. The only question I've asked is why put it in MK? What does it add to the game in ANY sense? No one seems to be able to answer that question yet they continue to call me a "bigot" and say I'm close minded for doing something as simple as asking a question. If you've lost respect for me from that, that's fine. I've lost respect for you for being among the people who refuse to answer that one simple question yet make me out to be a hateful person, which I've never presented myself as. I don't use any slurs nor have I said anything bad should happen to a person because of their sexuality. That would be hate speech. I have done no such thing.

How so? It's Nature vs Nurture, which is an entirely different debate.

If you raised someone from 6 months (Or however early you can actually adopt) to 24 ish, they would still act like both parents even if not biologically their offspring.

We have all be conditioned to believe certain things during our upbringing and as a result of the culture we find ourselves in. A bit naive, this one.

Again, naive, but to humor you, if that's true, it's pretty scary. However, so far you've demonstrated nil in terms of understanding the opposing argument (as you constantly slip into straw men). If you aren't educated on the opposing argument, then your own beliefs are pre-set and illegitimate.

As I'm sure you're aware, but it depends on the context and manner in which you use it. You blatantly used the word as a pejorative, as do many others, and to deny otherwise is just plain dishonest on your part. Homosexuals have the right to self-identify as "gay", they spent year re-appropriating the word to rid it of negative connotation and its use as a pejorative. There are many other words that exist like this as well, as I'm sure you're aware.

You're inventing a false equivalence where no one else has. Persecution and oppression is not meant to be compared as to which is worse, they are both terrible.

This entire last sentence of yours just helps prove my entire point.

Oh, your statements throughout this thread may not be specifically targeted at me, but they are still attacking something I am, and that you do APLENTY.

And if you even bothered to read my posts in this thread, you'd see that I said that I saw no point in stating a character's sexuality in the game, as it would serve no purpose. So accusing me to be "amongst those who won't answer your question" is on your ignorant ass.

Why wouldn't it? Wouldn't they train their adopted child to have their moves? Wouldn't she pick up on their personalities from living in the same household? Her being the adopted child would add exactly the same dynamic.

You have a very narrow view point of parenting/familial structures.

Possibly but its been proven some personality tendencies are genetically passed down. It just makes more sense and adds to the mk lore. And cassie being able to use green energy like johnny shouldn't be possible if that isnt his biological child.

Not necessarily; there are two ways they could take that.

1) She is another descendant of whatever it is that causes the green light. Hugely coincidental, which is kinda crap, but hey.

2) The Light Chooses!

My goodness. The obtuseness of this post is staggering. But I will defend reiko here and say that he hasn't attacked any poster personally for being gay, though he has tip-toed that line by insulting the community as a whole.

if she is a descendant of them and we know it adding in johnny and sonya as adoptive parents is pointless.

Why not? You are making your own assumptions, unless this was specifically mentioned in the MK lore that projectiles could only result from biological parentage and not be trained?

I don't expect Reiko to understand this distinction. He's basically saying it's alright for him to hate homosexuals so long as he doesn't tell them directly that he does.

It was actually mentioned johnny gained his abilities from being a descendant from very powerful warriors. His energy is something he was born with. He only had to learn how to HARNESS and CONTROL it.
