I don't think (or at least hope not) MK10's story will branch off strictly from the ending of MK9. I would rather see MK10 as a prequel to the first tournament (MK1). Liu Kang's training by more respectable Bo Rai Cho as opposed to his previous incarnations an obese, drunk, farting idiot, the realm of Edenia shown pre-merge with Outworld with Queen Sindel and King Jerrod at the helm, the rivalry between the Lin Kuei and Shirai Ryu clans, Kano's betrayal of the Special Forces, and more.

It's be interesting to see that angle, still have fan favorites in the game, but then if they do MK11, pick up where MK9 left off that way you've got a trilogy of sorts all in the "new" timeline.

So reboot MK all over again and leave the MK9 cliff-hanger without being resolved in MK10?
The MK9 story needs to be resolved.
It left too many questions unanswered.

-IGAU doesn't require skill: Incorrect. The game takes a lot of skill. If it didn't, guys like you would be placing in the Top 8 in tourneys

Again, thanks for bringing this to light for me. I stand corrected, but unfortunately, as a casual, non-tournament gamer, I still didn't enjoy Injustice as much as I thought I would. You seem butt-hurt about that and incapable of accepting someone's opinion about a video game.
 
Don't get rid of Sheeva or Baraka. Kano can certainly go , along with Stryker. Sheeva is my favorite character , but pretty much everyone else hates her. I still have to stick up for my 4 armed goddess.

Don't try to take the high road now. You completely disrespected the entire IGAU community by saying the game takes no skill. You only believe that because a couple of Deathstroke and Superman noobs smoked you online. Your whole argument screams butt-hurt.

Again, you are absolutely right on the money. You must be reading my mind!

Some people out there didn't like MK9 and I was okay with it. Different strokes, for different folks. Personally I liked MK9 a lot even though it had its own flaws. Given that and what I saw of Injustice, I expected a different experience with the game. Injustice, unfortunately, didn't jive with me as much as I thought it would. I did enjoy story mode immensely though and I do play the game often.

Incidentally, I can use Aquaman, Catwoman, and Green Lantern (Green Arrow I can kind of use, but not very well) effectively against Deathstrokes and Supermans now because I found those characters work well with my play style. I worked on being proficient with them and now am a better player which, essentially nullifies your "arm chair assessment".

I'm sorry if you are easily butt-hurt when someone doesn't glow and fawn over Injustice, but at least I can have a civil discussion and offer differences of opinion.

I am thrilled you love Injustice so much! A lot of folks do and that's great! Yet, again, allow me to extend my sincerest apologies for offending you. Had I known people would crumble like feta cheese at any sort of dissension towards Injustice, I would have been more gentle and tactful with my comments.
 
Injustice takes some skill to play. But not nearly as much as most good fighting games. It was a success, a huge profit was definitely made. The game is in no way a re-skinned MK9 though. After playing Injustice for a couple months then going back to MK9, I felt completely lost at first.

You seem hung up on that. Why is that? Can't counter or even acknowledge any of my other points I have made? No comments on when I mentioned how I can use other characters proficiently now so I can play against Slade and Kal-El? No? None?

It's not like I came on here and spewed the typical troll drivel you'll see online like, "This game sucks!", "I hate Injustice!", "This game is for comic book losers!", or "MK is better".

You really need to let it go. Not everyone liked Injustice as much as you, it does have its flaws, and that's life. I merely offered my opinion, backed it up with what I thought was reasonable, balanced arguments, and kept it on an mature, intelligent level.

In the end, I do play Injustice; hell my YouTube channel has quite a focus on it. I like the game, it's just not as great or as sensational of a game as I thought it was going to be when it came to gameplay mechanics. There are other awesome aspects of it like character modeling, arena details, the music, sound effects, and story mode.

Once again, I'm really very sorry you are easily offended and fall apart like a deck of cards in the wind when someone doesn't mirror back to you the same glorious, wondrous, and pristine perceptions of the game. Next time, I will tread more carefully so delicate feelings aren't crushed.

Up until now, she's been nothing but the female Sub-Zero clone.
With Sub-Zero being my favorite character, I find Frost to be an insult to my intelligence, with Midway previously reskinning a blue female Lin Kuei, and just giving her Sub-Zeros moves.
Unoriginal.

If she's in MK10, she needs a complete Kenshi type of remake, and not just some half-assed garbage.

He didn't disrespect anyone. Lighten up. And he's right. The game is pretty devoid of skill on many levels. And one of those 'Supermans' you sneer at won Evo and everyone complained about how brain-dead and boring it was for days.

When did I attack you for not liking the game? Like I said in my previous post, this game was fun but I'm ready to move on.

I just grow tired of ignorant people bashing this game simply because they can't find succes. This game doesn't follow the same fundamental rules as SSF4 or MK. So what! Either level up or quit. You don't like the game? Fine. But don't sh#t on the community by saying this game takes little skill.
 
Can you guys just stop fighting about this game already?

Someone will like it someone will hate it... it's always like that.

I am not SF or Tekken fan but i am not going to forums saying how bad these games are because they are NOT! They are just not my cup of tea.

On the other side i am huge MK fan and these game looks like fun to me so when i open this thread i expect to see some news not this.

True. But I can live with it just for MK10 IF NRS pulls it out very well with these characters and the post-MK3 characters (especially Tanya). But of course, having my favorite deceased characters as playables would totally be AWESOME!

In topic:
This Injustice may be my B-Day gift for myself for PS3 or PS4.
 
I'm surprised by this announcement and here I thought that NRS would release more DLC down the road but its looks like they're done with this game sadly.

Totally not impressed by this news (still butthurt over MK9 PC version incident), cause I am thinking that Injustice might very well follow the footsteps of MK9.
They drop you a game (with everything unlocked.... no one asked for that), tell you to buy it. You buy the game aaaaand you get nice gameplay on single player while you also get zero support, no patches, messed up netcode and false promises. I am really grateful for PC version of MK9, but just in case guys. Don't get your hopes too high or it will just hurt you more at the end.
