There were four in MK9 – Two fatalities, a stage fatality, and a Babality. So what’s the fifth one? Brutality? Animality? Friendship? Hopefully we get the answer to that question, and more in the not-too-distant future."


please dear goddddd, just make them brutalities and fatalities, pleeeeaseee lorrddd no friendships or animalities, they simply do not suite the tone of this game...please lord hahaha

I'm hoping it's a fatality and frankly with how the game looks I can't seriously think for a minute that babalities will be coming back for this one.
 
I would love nothing more than friendships to come back. I kind of assumed they would for this one. However, it's either way out of the question because this is darker and more serious...orrrr friendships provide the perfect counter to that with comedy relief lol.

I don't see it happening, but 5 slots are enough to get hyped about.
 
friendships in my opinion would make the tone of this game be pointlessly cheapened with comedy that is not needed...

and i dont want the brutalities to make them explode, they could do some thing way better with that engine

agreed, if brutalities does return i don't want it to be a generic combo that everyone does and finally they explode.
I want each character to have their own brutality specific to the character. Character doesnt have to explode. For example: If i was playing Liu Kang, he would do a serious of heavy kicks to the legs and body causing the opponent to fall to their knees. The he would perfomr a last kick to their hed breaking their neck and they fall over as blood spews from their mouth.

Just a thought but i think this is definitely better than a serious of combos finishing with an exploding character.
 
You guys realize Friendships were introduced to be a joke about how violent the game were right? With how dark and violent this game is, Friendships would be perfect

but i mean who and why would you want friends ships, exploding people sounds dumb to you but friendships dont? Or turning into an animal ? that sounds like the dumbest idea ever in this game
 
Yeah I also don't really care for the animalities, just seemed like they were running out of ideas for jokes in MK3. I guess Brutalities could work in this game as not killing the opponent but REALLY them up lol

they would work really well with multiple xrays just beating them to death....

i still stand by it friend ships are just wasted potential and removes more ideas in place of pathetic crap..YES they were introduced as a joke back in the day to troll the ratings board...but guess what we have r ratings now....they had their fun, there is no need to do it any more...they will look stupid in this game

Same with Babalities...even moreso with Babalities, because they were tantamount to taunting soccer moms as "crybabies".

Exactly... brutalities aren´t brutal... they are kinda lame....
I also agree with babalities, and I know it´s wrong with the game trying to include animalities or friendships, but I want them. But I think the best answer from NRS could be another kind of ality!!!!
In any case I will trust in the choice they make....
 
I hope that we don't have to do just 1 fatality when playing as a character type. theres no excuse that you shouldn't be able to do another fatality if you are a different character type.

like if sub-zero has the spine rip, you should be able to do that as all 3 subs.

Mmmm... As we saw at today´s gameplays the fatalities and the xrays are the same for the variations. So, don´t worry. But, I would have prefered different fatalities for each variation, so we will have more fatalities... But in any case it doesn´t matter

we still could get diff xrays an fatals for each build, its VERy early days yet

Make Friendships and Animalities DLC. That way, every single person who owns a copy of the game won't have the power to troll people(like spader) with "Trollalities"(Friendships, Animalities). Or at least when you get sick of it Online and whatnot, go offline and play the game. At least the computer can't generate a friendship since you wouldn't have purchased the DLC.

Just a potential solution I'm throwing out.

Animalities should be exclusive to one character; Liu Kang.

I strongly suspect that Netherrealm will make a political movement towards equal rights in marriage by introducing the cutting edge marriagality finisher move. The marriagality will immediately wed two characters in an extravagant ceremony full of love and expensive clothing, and will be possible regardless of the gender of the kombatants. An hour long sappy and detailed romance scene will immediately follow.

This will allow Netherrealm to show they support all their fans, regardless of sexual preference, and could easily be the biggest political public relations move ever displayed by a company in the video games industry, launching NR studios to a status of equal rights legendhood for all eternity and cement their place in humanities history books for the rest of time.
 
People need to remember about brutalities. Boon said they had some insane ideas for brutalities for MK9 but just didnt have the time to finish them so I would expect to see them return in a brutal way involving xrays and maybe a finishing move at the end
