good game but the witcher 3 has THE WORST swimming controls ever!! like 90% of the time he keeps turning around and not swimming forward.

how is everyone leveling up so fast? like im still only a level 4 and like every enemy that isn't a crappy little wolf is way over powered and can kill me in like a few hits. don't even get me started with the poisonous enemies. I pretty much don't want to go ahead with the main missions until im at least 3-4 levels higher.

Witcher 3 has become my favorite RPG of all time, I **** you not. I'm absolutely in love with this game. The characters, the writing, the voice acting, the world feels so alive, the atmosphere, the music, everything about it is absolutely stunning. Skellige has to be the most beautiful place I have ever seen in a video game.

My only complaint is that the combat could have been better, but it's solid enough. It easily has the chance of being my GoTY, unless MGSV (I'm a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge fan of MGS) is absolutely incredible too, which probably will be.

Just beat it. Phenomenal game, really wish that there was some post game content, but the ride along the way was good enough.

For someone who doesn't have emotions, the look that Geralt had when
Spoiler:
he thought that Ciri was dead in the Isle of Mists

Wrought complete havoc on my feels.

I need to keep playing it. My friend let me buy it for 20 bucks. And I must say, it is quite fantastic. I don't feel completely lost on the story. (Read up on the lore and previous games.) This is a game that's going to take me a while to beat, and I can't wait to enjoy the ride.

Finally finished it today.
Has anybody been able to enter Oxenfurt Academy or is this supposed to be DLC content?

I'm enjoying the game thus far. Combat feels kind of sluggish but it has a flow that makes sense once you get used to it. Auto-targeting can be a pain though, as I found Geralt swinging at the wrong enemy on occasion.

Anyways, what skills did you invest in? I'm leaning towards Combat skills, though the ultility of other skill trees can't be ignored.

Right now, I maxed out Muscle Memory and Strength Training, as I use both fast and strong attacks frequently.

I maxed out Delusion, an Axii skill, mostly for more dialogue options, but I found out it works well on disabling otherwise troublesome foes long enough to land critical strikes from behind. It also knocks down foes on horseback.

I'm thinking investing points in Quen signs for survivalbility.

I'm also considering putting points into Poisoned Blades, since I use oils pretty often, though I'm not sure if the other skills in the Oil Preperation tree are necessary. I don't use potions much, so Brewing can be ignored. Bomb Creation tree seems useful, as need an AOE attack to round things out.

I almost exclusively went into Alchemy. It might not seem that great now, but later on those buffs become invaluable. Multiplying Mutagen benefits, cluster bombs and the ability to make any potion restore health will save a lot of headache.

The only Sign I invested in was Axii, mostly for Delusion. But it also has great offensive use if you use it like a parry. Wail on an enemy as long as you can until you see them about to attack, cast Axii to reset them and continue the assault. Aard works the same way on larger monsters.

Quen is very useful, but doesn't need to be upgraded imo. I just used it against powerul monsters to protect myself from oneshots.

I also maxed out light attacks since I used them much more often. Heavy is good, but becomes pretty useless once you get the ArchGriffin Decoction. It makes any heavy attack automatically take 10% of an enemies health (drawback is said heavy attacks eats all your stamina)

I'm at level 8. I got some bombs and oils, but not much in the way of potions or decoction, which is probably why I don't appreciate their benefits yet. Oils seem be the only items that be used without replenishing through meditations.

Cluster Bomb looks appealing, although it's so far down the Alchemy tree, I don't know far I could go while developing Combat tree more.

I want to, but I'm having a hard time getting back into the game. I've done every non-gwent related Quest, have the best gear in the game and have every explored every place of interest outside of Skellige's random islands.

A couple of new monsters and a new questline isn't really irking me back. I'm waiting for the expansion that's said to be "the size of Witcher 2".

Yeah, according to IGN, the expansion is amazing but doesn't really add anything new. I'm still going to get it tho.

It's insane how much content is in this game. I've been playing non-stop for a month or so and I'm no where near 100%. CD Projekt Red says their upcoming game Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be even bigger. That's something I can not fathom.

I still got a long way to go, thus I don't feel the need to get the expansion.

I recently got a chance to play the Witcher 2 at a relative's home. Mechanically, it does make me appreciate the improvements by Witcher 3. Combat feels faster but seems lack the refinement of its sequel. The art direction and atmosphere is still strong though. I wish I had more time get more into the game's story.

Um, I'm not agreeing with it as I feel that Phantom Pain will win it.

I am aiming on getting this game, but I'll wait til either my birthday or Christmas to get it. It has struck an interest with me, but not that much to where I need to go out and immediately buy it. I know it's been out for a while but yeah... Never really had a feeling of purchasing it immediately.

I could have waited a little longer, but I wanted to make sure I get the soundtrack that comes with it. It has over 50 tracks, but there are still plenty of in-game music that are omitted from the CD. It's a good sample although I wouldn't be surprised if the complete OST would require an additional CD or more.
