I just fought secret Jade!

She really took my by suprise too, it appears that no special moves work on her. I tried doing cyrax net and it just goes straight through her as if she isnt there, i then tried an exbomb and again the same thing. None of my traps worked. It was if she had a permanent "shadow glow" (b,f+3+BL) only she wasnt glowing. needless to say she kicked my ass. She wore an outfit wich looked old school mk-ish.

Anyone else fought her yet??
 
I can't seem to get a double flawless on Shang. He always pulls something out of his ass to hit me at least once.

EDIT: 3 Cyrax posters in a row, that's rare. haha
 
Haven't fought her as of yet....I just fought Smoke and Noob yesterday, Now to fight Reptile and eventually Jade. What are the requirements to fight her?
 
yeah she has projectile immunity ^^ but she isnt that hard to beat unless you rely completely on projectiles ^^ like all secret fights u can win by just blocking and countering with an uppercut ^^
 
I beat Jade with 1 try! Pure lucky really! I used scorpion adn spammed uppercuts and teleports. How I fought Jade was using the following requirements. For those that don't how here are the following steps: 1. At least 3 flawless victories, 2. At least 3 fatalities and 3. Double Flawless on Shang Tsung(Don't need to perform fatality!) You could say that doing those fatalities assumed that you actually did one on him. Personally, I just uppercutted him at the "Finish Him" and bam it was loading to the secret fight! Good luck to players out there! Have a good day! :) It works too on any level of difficulty, but I strongly recommend to do it on beginner. I almost forgot, you CANNOT LOSE ANY ROUNDS and Matches!

You need to not lose a single round all the way up to Shang Tsung. Then you need to get a double flawless and fatality on him. If you don't get a flawless, just beat him then when it says FINISH HIM, quit to player select and try again.

Get at three Flawless Victories and three Fatalites on the Arcade Ladder. You cannot lose a match nor a round. When you get to Shang Tsung, get a Double Flawless on him. It was said you don't have to perform a fatality on him if you already did the required three but I do it on him anyways to play it safe. You will then be transported to Goro's Lair and she will appear. I beat her every time I fought her and beat her on my first try without losing a round.

BTW, the difficulty doesn't matter.
 
I fought her and beat her with my first try! I did 6 fatalities, cause I also fought Smoke on that same ladder (and beat him too).... But anyway, I thought Jade fight was pretty easy.. Noob was the most difficult one for me!

Are you guys entirely positive about this? I have seen many posters say that it's alright to lose a round, just not any matches. Naturally, that does not apply to the Shang Tsung fight, since you need to get a double flawless on him.
I'm just curious since I plan to try this soon and it would suck to get past the entire ladder without losing any matches but having lost a round or two, only to be denied the fight with her at the very end, lol.

Wait so you have to get double flawless on Shang only + Fatality only? And not all the characters before him?

I cannot confirm this, but I do remember reading several posts that claimed they were able to change the rounds to 1 instead of 2 to make it easier to get to that fight. Again, I can't confirm that, but I plan to try it myself. I'll be sure to post back here after I am able to confirm this.
 
I just battled secrect reptile. He has subzero, scorpion and reptile moves. also on the second round he becomes super quick! he even falls faster when trying to do combos. managed to beat him though (on expert)
 
Just set it to beginner, 2 rounds, and 60 seconds. I used to have it at 30 seconds but I ended up losing rounds to Shang some times just because of time limit. I didn't lose a single round after I set it to 60. You NEED 2 rounds because you need to get a double flawless and fatality on him. If you're worried about losing a round on the characters before him on beginner difficulty, there is no chance for you to be able to get a double flawless on Shang in the first place. Just sayin'.
 
I can confirm that the rounds must be set to 2. Having them set at 1 round does NOT work. I tried it earlier this morning and it definitely does not work. Reaver is right, it makes sense since you must get a double flawless on Shang Tsung and that obviously cannot be done unless you fight him for 2 rounds, lol.
So I suppose that was a great big "duh" moment for me, but hey, at least I found that out for us for certain now, lol.
I'll tell you one thing though, Shang is one cheap little ***** for damn sure. I seem to just barely get the flawless on the first round against him and the bastard always manages to get a single, out of nowhere, random fireball up my ass during that second round. It's almost as if he knows what it is that I'm trying to do and attempts to thwart my efforts at all cost, lol.
So, does anyone have any suggestions, tactics-wise, for this fight? Are the perhaps certain characters that are better suited for it? I've tried it with a few of my best characters and all of my cheapest tactics seem useless on him since eventually he gets wise to them and gets in a hit or two.
 
I did it with Scorpion. Spear is your best friend when fighting Shang Tsung.
Spear, U,1, dash, B+2, dash, uppercut.
Just remember to use the spear right when Shang is getting back up, and then rinse & repeat
