Human Cyrax and Sektor, Shang Tsung Fatality

Wow, just jumped on and I'm greeted with this info and already 14 pages of discussion. Anyway...

Love Human Cyrax and Sektor's design, they don't have the ninja look I imagined, but I should have anticipated something different as NRS have been aiming at unique designs for each character. Smoke is another recent example of this, it's clear to me that NRS don't want the game littered with similar looking ninjas, and I support their design choice. It's turned out well.

As for Tsung's Clown fatality, it's definitely odd, but still makes sense to me; yes, it is a reference to the Joker, but also to Pennywise, who actually came to my mind first. Pennywise is a shape-shifter just like Shang Tsung, so while the fatality is unexpectedly comedic, it's not as random as some of you may think.

Next, he couldn't have redone the picture, and just left it all blurry yet two other pictures as you say were still shot, yet we know the stances have moment animation which disproves what you say.

The rest of your argument is pretty much broils down to "could bes" not absolutes. My argument speaks for itself.

On a side note: Edit: Why are MK fans so naive about people lying to them or faking crap on the internet? I swear on other forums people post fake information and they go "Well it matches the video and he has no reason to lie."

The Sheeva pic is also a bit blurry. In fact if you look hard they are all a tad blurry. I don't understand why people automatically assume that most people are going to photo shop thing likes this because they have nothing better to do with their lives. Usually the simplest answer is the correct one. Really now, what's more feasible: Someone leaked pics from a review copy of a game, or someone took the time to photo shop two pictures and post 4 other real ones? You really that paranoid? SMH

Everyone basically painted that picture to the few of us who thought the released Sub Zero vs Shang Tsung footage wasn't an April Fool's joke. "It's April 1st, quit being conspiracy theorists!" Sometimes there are details outside of the obvious that make people think otherwise. It's called an opinion, and having a different one doesn't make a person crazy.

I can argue that because those pictures came from the same photobucket account does not mean they came from the same source. There is no way you can prove the same person took all six pictures. And there is no way you can prove the person who took those pictures is the same person that posted them on that photobucket. Therefore this argument:

is nothing more than an assumption. But there is no point in arguing this because, as far as what we know, anything we say will be entirely speculation. You could be right. I could be right. We'll only find out in the upcoming days when someone streams the full game. In the meanwhile, there is no point in painting everyone who doesn't agree with what you think as a lunatic.

I don´t know, but maybe there are some "remake-fatalitys" from the MK vs. DC game. Maybe each character have 2 normal fatalitys and 1 fatality from MK vs.DC as a hidden one. That could explain Shang Tsungs clown. Also, if u look at the archivements, each fighter has a hidden fatality. Just a thought.

I agree with you. I have looked at the picture with more attention and sub-zero's head looks like it has nothing inside, as if its just the skin hanging .At least that's what I see.

Yes, but is the Sheeva pic near as blurry as the clown pics? How is it that Sheeva's fatality is minimal on the blurry as are the Human Sektor and Human Cyrax pics? Yet the clown one which looks fake is so blurry it isn't funny. Stop being naive and admit there is something up. I never said it was 100% fake but if you seriously expect us to believe something like that just because it is posted by a leaker, again how Naive and foolish can you be? Never been around many game leaks huh?

I just think that unless it is a friendship or some sort of joke fatality (definitely not his default #1 fatality) then it just makes a mockery of Shang Tsung...

Only in Friendships has he turned into something so lame. If he looked like the Joker I think I could let it slide. But that! I'm hoping it is nothing but fake.

I am one of the people that think the clown is fake. Here is a couple pics where I took the clown and laid it over the Joker from MK vs. DCU.




I know some of you think that they may have just reused the animation and I guess they could have but here is a close up of the neck.



I know some people have been complaining about minor defects and call NRS lazy for similar fatalities ( I love the fatalities by the way) but give them some credit. The game looks amazing and well that neck does not. I don't think that would have made it in to the full game and that is were people are saying this is from. Bottom line is that it looks fake to me and I will be disappointed if it is in the game.

I think we should just lay off this "issue" until further concrete information comes our way, even if it is after release date.

There were NO cut corners for MK( thats why NRS asked WB for 2 1/2 years to make this game. WB gave NRS all the time they needed to polish this game!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can see Cyrax has bombs on his belt, and Sektor has a wire going to his arm bands that looks like it could be flame throwers. I assume Cyrax will throw a net, and perhaps Sektor has missiles on his other arm band?

I no longer want to debate whether it's real or not because there is no solid evidence for either outcome. All I want to say is that if Shang Tsung morphs into anyone for his primary fatality, I hope he morphs into his opponent and finishes him/her with his/her own fatality.

A primary fatality for one of MK's biggest characters being the exact same animation as Joker's from a game this installment is trying to forget is a little too much of a nod if you ask me.

If it is real then it is poorly done and just a bad idea in the first place. Shang Tsung has the power to steal souls, become fallen opponents and create creatures like Baraka and Mileena and he uses it to turn into a generic scary clown that you can find in any Halloween shop and use a gun to finish off his foe. If it is real it is the first thing that I don't like about this game. My optimism won't allow me to believe that it is real or that NRS would have done so poorly on the face and hands that don't blend with the rest of the body at all.

See, I don't have a problem with people believing it's real [because they want it to be or some crap like that.]

However, when they go out of their way to disprove evidence with half-assed arguments, well that's when I draw the line. The fact is the picture itself is blurry as garbage, which makes no sense compared to the others. [Which although they have blur, don't tell me a slight blur effect=Everything including the clown in one pic being blurry, that's just being in denial.]

If there was a clearer picture without so much blur, I might believe it, as it stands... lol Going to have to try harder than that to make me believe it.
