Half Life 3?

Its not really clear whether they are working on it or skipped it, but saying half life 3 is simpler

I personally think we will see a Half Life 3 game but knowing Valve I'm confident that ID software will release DOOM 4 before the next Half life and if history is anything to go by it's safe to say 2013-14 at the earliest on PC first than ported to PS4 and Xbox 720 later.

Half-Life 3 will happen eventually, but I suspect it won't happen until a successor to the Source engine arrives.
