General Injustice Gods Among Us Gameplay Chat

Oh yeah sorry I just derped. Force ball hitting from the front and the cross-up hitting from the other side obviously. Still not a very good setup though. It can be easily avoided.

If you jump forward Zod and D2 you into Combo, If you jump back you have to block the forceball and Zod is still coming at you to get free pressure. If you show too much respect by jumping back eventually you'll corner yourself. Plus the forceball has 3 different speeds too so you can Mix up the speeds to throw people jump timing off and you can throw in trait to have fullscreen overheads.

Yes, People can projectile through, But other than that everything is in Zod's favor.

Not sure about the bottom two but at least the top one seems like it's a little strict for online. Especially since every time I play with you, it lags a little. Playable, but still laggy. When I'm learning a new character I just play through a single-player ladder on the highest difficulty and see if I can beat it. Then I go online and find a noob to practice my new character on. haha. I don't want to face someone who is as good or better than me with a character that I'm still green with.

I don't like fighting the CPU because they don't react like a human would, and I chose to play against you just to level up my Wonder Woman. My Catwoman was ass, and still is ass. It feels funny playing with her, and I like the Mobility that Wonder Woman has over her. I would've been fullscreen the entire match against your friend's cyborg with Catwoman but now with Wonder Woman I can air dash in, I can instant air downward smash thingy and just dash.

I freaking love her sweep because it can low-profile lows and I can time 3,3 meaty with it. B2,3 is Jesus-Tier. Amazing vertical hitbox and like you said it sets players back to neutral on hit.

Obviously I still have a lot to learn with the character, and I think I'm going to just stick with her instead of Cat woman.

Edit: Thanks for the Green Arrow match up experience and tips.

Zod is good but his set ups are basically useless against Aquaman due to his trait. Also iAFB hits high can be ducked but there are laser set ups that can be done combined with the trait.

So I was wrong? But how can this be.. I'm a Injustice God

No, lol. Thanks for correcting me, bro.

I fight the CPU because it helps with thinking on the fly, muscle memory, and getting combos in actual matches. He just started using Cyborg, that was my first time playing against it. and no problem

GA just has so many mixup options though.

F2D1 Low Arrow : Mid Low Low
F2D1 Air Arrow: Mid Low Overhead
F2D1 Slide: Mid Low Low
F2D13 Low Arrow: Mid Low Overhead Low
F2D13 Air Arrow: Mid Low Overhead Overhead
F2D13 Slide: Mid Low Overhead Low

etc

You can also do crouching then standing then crouching shenanigans with jumps also.

His Cyborg is good, and that J1 cross up is so ambiguous. I guessed wrong like 20 times.

My ground game is beyond terrible, I miss so many chances to whiff punish with B2,3 or B1,1,3 Starter. :c

I have basically no experience fighting Cyborg, so I panicked when he was getting his setup going. haha. My ground game has gotten a lot better since I picked up GA, because his J1 and J2 are trash. J3 is decent if you have an ice arrow, otherwise it's kind of meh.

Can't we tech roll out of those? And His Keep-away isn't bad either. I'm still working on my neutral game, I'll probably head over to TYM and add a few people from there, playing Randoms isn't helping.

Well he's my secondary after all :p

Haha but I despise Aquaman's trait I have to switch my BnB with Zod. 112~ground laser becomes blockable by Aquaman's annoying trait lol.

I do wonder why some people are not finding some Zod laser techs that stuff is useful for many set ups and situations.

Im glad some people are using him and not classifying him as mediocre like some people.

I wanted to play him, but someone said his movement was horrible and I don't like characters with slow dashes.

Did you read that article I posted from TYM? It touched on laser tech and set ups, but nothing too in depth.

M2Dave called him mediocre, on Day 3 which was too early because he didn't know much about the character.

@Immortal, the Rocket set ups after a hard knockdown.

Well I just meant in general. Even when I was standing and he'd shoot rockets then dash in or fireball. I'm going into Practice now.

m2dave is a giant fgt.

Well Zod has slow walk speed as well as some other characters in the cast but he has good dashes and is back dash is really useful.

Not sure I have read a lot of stuff in the Zod forum and there a lot of tech there. Link?

And that basically a pre-mature analysis 3 days is not enough to call a character mediocre. He requires heavy execution which is not M2Dave friendly.

http://testyourmight.com/forums/zod.383/ <-- Zod Sub Forum.

And yea, he probably just wanted attention from the forum. Turned out he was wrong.

Kinda wish we could cancel dashes with normals or just holding down, and that they increase everyone's walk speed. Injustice neutral feels like a mix of Street fighter and MK.

Green Lantern has a F2D13 string like Green Arrows, but it hits Mid Overhead Mid. Not sure if there is a good use for the whole string, maybe a combo ender. I've NEVER ONCE seen this string used though. F2D1 would be a good mixup to get them into a lift instead of always B13.

Yeah but good to know people are finding stuff with Zod even if he has slow walk speed. At least not bad dash. He has good match up and gives HG problems can match her air game.

Yeah some of the walk speed of some characters are pure crap but at least the dash makes up for it lol. Someone once told me that it felt like a mix between MK and BlazBlue.

I'm back from Texas.

Anyways, GL's F+2, D+1, 3 is good for throwing them off just in case your opponents always read B+1, 2 or 3. His F+2, 1... combo starter is a bit more damaging on the long run than his B+1, 3... combo starter. So I usually use that in the beginning.
