Gears of War 3

Looking for some players that i can go through arcade, horde, and do some team deathmatch with. If you're interested send me a mesage to "BUDD THA GREAT"

I may not have the game, but looks extremely great. And I feel sorry for Dom. His life just isn't the same since his family was taken from life so soon. His kids during E-Day, and from the last game, his wife Maria that he had to put down himself. He's sorta an emotional wreck now.

Well u should see how it plays out...kinda sad

Gears 3 wrecks everything out right now. Battlefield will be good competition though and I think MW3 won't beat either.

But I'm done with first person shooters anyway besides Halo Reach. So overrated and overplayed.

100 MVP medals? So worth it.

Also I have another big question for you Gears players out there. What is your opinion on the sawed-off shotgun? It takes only one close range shot to kill but the reload time is awful and you can only shoot once per clip. In my opinion, it definitely takes a lot less skill than the Gnasher since all you have to do it be close and you can kiss your opponent goodbye because of the extreme widespread, letting you pull off kills like this...

Anyway, I think the one shot per clip thing is a good balance though. If someone misses me with the sawed-off I quickly gun them down with the retro lancer instead of idiots who chase after them with a gnasher. The rolling and cover system does assist them in getting a reload though but all you have to worry about it keeping distance. So all in all, I think the sawed-off is fine. There is no need for an update because it can be dealt with.

This one guy had 30+ kills with the sawed-off only one game but whenever I saw him I killed him. People try to take on the sawed-off aggressively but you are just asking to get killed. So again, how do you feel about it? Does it need to have a damage or spread shot reduce? Or keep it how it is?

I think we should be able to distinguish whether or not the opponent has one in their hand. Its pretty hard to see the difference when you are running into a gun fight with someone. Once you notice them walking up point blank it's already too late. I think it is fairly balance because if they miss they're going to die, but I feel like you should still be able to tell easily if they are carrying one or not. Great game though.

I slightly disagree with this. Although I see where you're coming from dude, its easier for me to spot the sawed-off users from the gnashers. The size difference is ridiculous lol. But the trade off is pretty even between shotgun options.

Sawed-off: INSTANT rape in a cannon lol. One shot kill pretty much guaranteed up close, and I think its got a bit of a damage-boost with a perfect reload. But the negatives SEVERELY outweigh its overpowered damage. 4 shots, HORRIBLE reload time, worst range, Quite possibly the most FRUSTRATING window of time with its perfect reload, and a one-shot chance. Also, 6 rounds is not a lot for a max ammo count in multiplayer. In other words, its my instakill weapon, but if I miss, I'm running away as fast as possible. Thats the only way to live using that gun lol.

Gnasher: Positives are INSANE. 8 shots is a HELLUVA lot better than one. You miss, you get 7 more chances. Still has good firepower, range is a lot better, and its still a one-shot kill if you're close enough. Easy perfect reload frame, and a bit of a speed boost on a perfect reload. Also, I think the max ammo for it on pick-ups is 39? Thats awesome. Negatives are there but there not as bad. Kinda tough to keep up with the sprinters and close range-rollers with sawed-offs, and its easy to get caught up in reallllly long-winded gnasher shootouts with players.

Either way, I see pros and cons with both of 'em.

I want the game, but with BF3 and MW3 around the corner, I can't bring myself to justify shelling out 200 bucks on video games in 3 months.
