Future DLC for MKX?

Even though they were fully aware of people wanting Fujin, I think they want to save him for the next installment. For I personally think they will use him to stop Raiden from going all crazy again. If they were to give us more characters I don't think it would be in a form of a Kombat Pack. I think it would be one individual download. I do think the 4 MK DLC characters need Alts or Throwbacks (MK3 Cyber Ninja skins).

Remember the new version is just called XL... Not "komplete edition"... Does this mean that there is still more to come? XL is just technically a "bigger" version, doesn't state complete.

I've just checked my XL copy and on the back cover it clearly and visibly notes that THE ULTIMATE EXPERIENCE. This makes it a Final Version or Komplete Edition, call it how you like. So from now on, it is another misleading catchprase if they decide to put more kharacters in and we have to pay up again. I don't mind new skins though, and if they patch in more brutalities and stage finishers, I don't even mind to pay for another stage. But an XXL version would make me mad because I wanted all kombatants on the disk and I won't buy this game another time, that's for sure!

And that Street Fighter 4 route would be a huge slap to my face. Lol

It has never stated it has... The ultimate fighting experience was also quoted on mkx!

Yeah, from what I understand, MKXL just includes everything that has been released for MKX to date! NRS never made a promise not to release anything beyond MKXL.

Whenever an Ultimate Edition is dropped, it's definitely the final version. There is absolutely no game that has made a game with EVERY single piece of DLC in one disk and still make future paid DLC. You could argue TLOU Remastered, but TLOU for the PS3 was still getting Multiplayer DLC when the remaster came out.

Exactly. It's not like this is the first time we are getting "ultimate edition" game. We already know how this works, and as I mentioned before. It would be a slap to the face for those who already bought XL upgrade.

Well... To be perfectly honest... and I apologize before hand, because what I say might make some people feel offended... but...

... I kinda feel like that those who already bought MKX and then later bought MKXL are kinda suckers. You basically bought the same game twice, except you got a few extra things on the side.

I have never bought the same game twice, except if it was an old game turned into an HD remake. And even then, I kinda feel like a sucker for buying that. All they do is tricking more money out of you.

If it is a product you support, then by all means, buy as many copies of the same game you want! But you have no right or entitlement on whether or not the devs wants to put out more DLC for people to get.

All you did was falling for their trick.

Calm down...

I'm calm. But I pre-ordered the PC version and expected The Ultimate Experience when Ed Boon stated that the PC version would be just as good as the consoles. I was considering a PS4 for a while before the release of MKX but I have never owned a console before and I have a PC with the demanded system requirements. Then we have a lot of problems, then along came Arkham Knight and so on, so I became fed up with the treatment of PC users lately and I finally decided to buy a PS4. When they announced XL and showed us Triborg during the ESL Finals and the Enchanced Online got good reviews, I decided to buy XL. I was still pissed at WB but at least I could convince myself that I get the Kompleted Package so I wouldn't pay twice for the exact same game.

As far as I'm concerned, I put just enough money into NRS' pocket to have the full experience. So if they want to charge me again, I will have every right to feel misleaded.

Every bit of Mortal Kombat X - All in one package - I watched the trailer again and I don't see nowhere that so far or for the time being or until we see fit to milk MKX again.

You can defend NRS all day long, I won't forget what they did to a part of our community and the shady practises of WB. Yes, shame on me as I'm still supporting them, I have mixed feelings about this. Liking the game this much doesn't mean I have to turn a blind eye to modern day game industry bull$**t though. So I think I'm still less of a fanboy than those who still defend NRS and let them get away with every controversial decision. Seeing this whole ESL/XB1 love story develop, I'm curious what would be your reaction if NRS decided to make a deal with Microsoft next time and they let behind PlayStation too.

I do agree, even so it still doesn't change the fact that devs are a$$holes for using people trust in such way. To milk more money.

To be honest buying MKX on PC was a dumb move to begin with. It was revealed before release, that High Voltage was working on a game, and they have disastrous history of porting. But people wanted to experience MKX. Not everyone wants or can allow himself a console. But as a big fans of franchise they wanted to continue they support. And for that reason we also can blame ourselves for falling into that trick.

But again. This is still no excuse.

Street Fighter did the same. SF4, SSF4, USF4. But at least you got a quality game which worked and was (and is) fun. So for that reason, they got kinda a "free pass". For that time.

MKX... well we know PC story. But it works on consoles. People got the game, got updates (even though almost a whole year later.) and it works. Online got better as well. So that gave some sort of "motivation" for people to buy MKXL. And still it was stupid. Because it is already an extablished fact. You can't trust WB/NRS. Putting money in them is the same as throwing money through the window.

The only DLC I've bought so far is Blue Steel Sub-Zero and a couple of the skin packs (Kold War, Horror). I still haven't bought any characters, and I won't unless they get some alt. skins like the other characters -- plus I'm only really interested in 2 or maybe 3 of the 8.

I'll probably get Krimson Ermac, though. It's a cool skin and I am happy to do my tiny bit for the tourney scene. Bring on the Reptile skin, I say.

Similarly like to those who bought the PC version. This is WB, ie. greedy scum. They're capable of anything.
