cool sketches.. is there any reason for the teeth mask design? or is it just coz it looks cool? or did some official past designs have that element? (sorry i dont know the frost character at all) your design it looks good but the mask is very mileena like. even though its just a mask and not actual teeth its still very mileena like thats my only concern

Her mask is my idea and no not because it looks cool . It lets her to breathe ice at opponent. Also it works as symbolic thing. Mileena covers her mouth, because she hates it and uses her body to show her sex appeal. Frost on other hand doesn't care about her appeal. Her looks send only one message. She is a beast. A hunter. And if you don't wanna die, don't get in the way. Also adds fear factor for her.

Also Mileena wishes she had such nice and tidy fangs. last time I saw her mouth it looked like she didn't visit her dentist in like forever. Tooth brush we can forget.

I have no problem if frost can freeze people. sharing 1 move isn't bad if it makes sense.

The thing is... yes. She could partially freeze opponent, by like breathing ice in his face and blinding him for a short time or something. But again it is best to avoid similar moves. She could do a lot of things even without freezing the opponent, as imagine if for example: Both players take Sub Zero and Frost. And they both can freeze. It would be better if one of them used ice in more offensive style while other plays it defensive.

Beginning a petition and keeping up a thread about one of the discreetly-known, 3D-era MK characters? Despite the fact that her chances in the next game are subjectively low?

If this isn't some dedication, then I don't know what is.

Anyways, the petition wants Frost for MKX, yet NRS already have their initial roster completed. That makes having Frost to be on the main roster pointless -- seeing as they have to finalize the product soon to do the packaging, shipping, etc.. So I'm assuming this petition is to have her be a DLC character?

To be honest I didn't even really saw her as part of the main roster. She never was part of a big picture. More like a side story, so I think that (even if all characters weren't already set) she would be better as DLC.

Also spent few weeks making Fan Made Trailer by drawing all scenes by hand, spent days making her costume design (didn't sleep well for few nights as I had no idea how she would take off bodysuit and put it on effectively), made blueprints and started 3D modeling her

There is a funny thing about that. I played for Frost for like... 30 minutes? I never played any games with her before and just recently got a copy of Deadly Alliance for me to try.

i love your design very menacing although very anime like rather than MK and looks more like a dude rather than a chick, but i guess thats just your style. but that dont matter anyway the petition looks badass and professional thats all that matters.

also id love to see a full finished body shot of your design coz its still great. its simple and iconic, like the MK3 designs

also that mask made me think it would be cool if she had an ice breath move, kinda like sindels scream but since sindels chances of being in MKX are slim ( sad face my fave character) it would still be a cool move to pass on and tweak a little as i found it was a graet tool against people who try to constantly jump punch into a combo.

Ahm... one sec. Let me think. It is kinda hard to think of some unique moves to be honest..

How about...

1.Ice Breath (to blind opponent)
2.Throwable ice knives/blades
3.Chain encased in ice blades
4.Ice claws
5.Ice knuckles
6.Teleportation (covers herself in ice and shatters while appearing in different position)
7.Using ice blocks to enhance her movement (for example make ice block appear from the back and propeling her towards opponent)
8.Ice Armor
9.Ice decoy (encase herself in ice and when opponent hits her she shatters and appears behind opponent hitting him in return)
10.Use ice blocks to stun opponents
11.Use ice blocks to break defense
12.Use ice blocks to hit enemy back
13.Encase her arms in ice spikes and use them to shoot ice projectiles at enemy (for stun effect or to be more brutal she could actually shoot them in their face, stabbing their face with ice sickles and making them blind for a short time)
14.Use ice to propel her in air and do backflip kick
15.Hell she could have ice bow and shoot ice arrows
16.Use ice to slide forward and release her ice copy stature towards enemy and bash them like hell.
17.Create ice traps by teleporting (she leaves an ice "bomb" in the place where she has teleported from)
18.Ice shurikens
19.Use ice blocks to trap opponent (not freeze him but just hold his legs in one place)
20.Use her chain encased with ice blades to grab opponent and smash him to the ground
21.Use her chain encased with ice blades to do ranged attacks

23.Slide on the ground to create ice track which would make opponent slip and fall on the ground
24.Use ice to propel her in air and then she encases herself in ice and drops on the ground, creating shockwave which damages opponent

I think that would be enough to make her DIFFERENT from sub zero

P.S some of them are jokes, but just work as examples to show that there are a TON of ways how to use ice.

Yes it is kinda manga/anime like. I first thought about making realistic version, but I automatically got her to look more cartoonish.

Yeah I tend to draw them more masculine. If you take out long eyelashes and makeup, they tend to get more "manly". Also I keep drawing sharp faces, so that might be a reason too, as female faces are more round usually.

Still I haven't reached the Netherrealm level of manly females. Manly faces + make up = may lord save us all.

Frost appears in MKX Comic #4 and #5, she was last seen alive and being treated by Sonya's Special Forces response team who're looking for Casssie.

Perhaps Sonya recruits Frost into Special Forces? Than again, that pic shows possibly Frost in an updated Lin Kuei outfit so... She may be Lin Kuei again to help fill out Sub-Zero's ranks. Shame if that's the case as they could really go a new path for Frost.

Anyway, her new background is this.

Frost is an Orphan who lives on the streets, she worked hard to get good at fighting (She's self-taught when we see her first), and she made a living putting her life at risk in freelance MMA deathmatches which is how she met Cassie who, at that point, is far less skilled than Frost. Frost is overconfident and arrogant as ever which is how Cassie won a losing match. Frost also seems to resent that Cassie has a good life due to a rich daddy.

Really hope Frost gets in as she has story potential and it would be funny to see the naysayers faces over Frost being in the base game.

I'd rather see Frost having different ice powers so that she and Sub-Zero are completely different from one another so people can finally stop whining about how she'll be another clone.

I prefer having these two in the same game together rather than saying "I want Frost over Sub-Zero" or vice versa. The reason is so that others could also stop complaining that we can't have two characters who have similar abilities in the same game together.

Snow powers? Pass, she has Ice powers - she shouldn't have her powers changed entirely. Especially since nothing Raiden did would change how she was born or what powers she has.

Besides, we have multiple characters using Fire abilities so why is Frost singled out? MK9 had like 4 Fire users and 2 Ice users.

We want her for her story potential and she's a cool character. She's also different from Sub-Zero.

The worst insult is saying Frost shouldn't be in because we have Sub-Zero even though she's always played differently. Nothing says they cannot coexist like before.

Considering she's a Freelance MMA fighter she should play differently, maybe even have more holds thrown into her style and kicks.

its not because subzero is a guy. its because he moves way too slow, more like a wrestler grappler than a Ninja. but if people like that then fine

but also having the option of a female ice character would be awesome and very likley they would move faster but not as strong with completly different methods of using the ice which would be great for showing a contrast between the 2 characters.

Indeed, I liked how much faster Frost is compared to Sub-Zero and her having an MMA fighting history now means they could really spice up her moveset even more and give her inventive ways to use her Ice powers like a close ranged one-hand Freeze ball in her palm.

I actually would like to see her having snow in her arsenal of powers since we have yet to see that. Not to mention, since she is clearly completely different from what we've seen her before, we don't know what her powers are actually like.

I am a die hard fan of this character who would like to see her be playable in a future game if she is not in this one, but I would prefer her having some sort of new powers, that still works around ice and such, but she uses snow, cold mists, glaciers, something that we haven't necessarily seen with any of our ice wielders. That shouldn't be an issue.

The reason why she's always called out on it is because she is the second character to come in with ice abilities, and many people, including me, would like to see something different with her in using these abilities so that neither plays the same way. I love Sub-Zero and I love Frost, I would like to see them in the same game together but are completely different so that everyone can shut up about Frost being just another cloned character.

If Frost can make Snow than should Sub-Zero as they do have the same mastery over Ice as they're both Cyromancers.

She still has the blue effect when she threatened Cassie, she has her ice cold colored skin like Sub-Zero, and nothing so far suggest she has different powers.

Yet she's never played like Sub-Zero so their arguments are pointless. Boon and co. even poked fun at the fans angry about Frost being introduced in Deadly Alliance. Besides, she has an MMA background now.

Well you're right, nothing has suggest that she has different ice powers... yet.

But why should Sub-Zero be affected as well if Frost is shown to use her ice abilities differently? Neither should act the same, just that they wield ice. If a story is to ever surround the two of them again, maybe, just maybe, Frost will possess abilities similar towards Sub-Zero. But she should have something completely different from him. He can make ice weapons such as swords and axes, why should Frost do the same exact thing but make daggers? Sure, they could act completely different from each other with him having heavier attack moves and her being light and fast, but then that's the issue that many would like to not see anymore.

I don't really want Frost to have anything similar towards Sub-Zero. If he slides, she really shouldn't. Instead, have her turn into mist and slide towards the opposite side of the screen.

He completely freezes the opponent, she shouldn't. Instead, she should throw something that more so slows the opponent down for a few seconds, sort of like a "chilly" effect the opponent suffers.

Neither should be a like, especially since we don't know Frost's new background in this timeline despite that we know she's a MMA fighter. We know who she was in the original timeline, this is a completely new Frost. This is how you make her stand out. This is how you make her clone-less from Sub-Zero, despite that she never WAS nor will she. She and Sub-Zero should not share moves, nor have similar moves.

The ability to freeze is the exclusive property of characters carrying the name of Sub-Zero.

I know how Frost was in Deadly Alliance/Unchained/Armageddon. I mained her in all of those games, I know how different she and Sub-Zero is. The problem is that her moves, despite showing differences, were still from Sub-Zero's arsenal. He slides, she did, he freezes, she did, the only move that they shared completely together that had no differences at all was her puddle.

She should not have anything similar towards Sub-Zero if she returns. With that said...

No she should not. Frost should not freeze people. If anything, as I mentioned before, she should have more of an area of effect ability to where the opponent is more slowed than completely frozen.
