For those complaining about this game being a re-hash

That is an immensely stupid assumption. I was quite good with a few characters during MK9. I loved all of the characters (as most all of us did). Why we are upset is because if feels as though they are throwing away all of what happened in mk9. Not only that, as many others have said : we were promised new characters and all they have shown is not only old characters -- but old dead characters. Have you not been reading the responses in this thread? It's like you simply skipped over everyone else's opinion to drop your baseless, ridiculous thoughts.

I was also decent with Nightwolf and used him a lot in MK9 (he was 1 of my 3 mains).
That said, I don't see why he has to return in MKX.
Also, why can't someone else like Kotal Kahn take up that native tribesman slot, now?

Basiccly let's call it for what it is ..

People didn't have favorites in mk9 so they want to see brand new characters or post mk3 characters so they can have a character they are good with.

Nice try, but no. There were quite a few characters I was pretty good with. The real problem is... Some of us actually have standards. We aren't mindless fans who eat up whatever scraps are thrown at us. We have strong opinions and will express them as need be due to how devoted we are to the series.

Part of NRS's problem is that they listen to the clueless fans who demand specific characters and throw tantrums when they don't get them. They aren't comfortable with exploring the artistic freedom they actually have because "omfg where da fuq is ma Kabal, u stoopid twat!"

Those of you putting people down for having higher standards show that you are in fact cheap fans with simple expectations. And that sir, is nothing to boast about. So maybe tone it down a notch.

I don't have any idea what you're going on about and you're only serving the points I made. I never bashed your character or anything like that. I said what apparently everyone else was thinking : that was not at all why we are upset, and was some pretty ridiculous reasoning on your end. And no, I mained Johnny and learned Sub Zero, Sektor, Kenshi, Liu Kang, and Jax as secondary. I play frequently and still do to this day. I'd be willing to bet that I'm a more well rounded player than even you. Your assumptions only keep getting more baseless. Please stop. We want to see new characters because we want the game to evolve. Not only that, but since reveal, we were promised new characters. Either way, I'm not even one of the people mad at Kung Lao and Kitana's return. I saw the trailer and thought they looked awesome. And being 'garbage' in MK9 shouldn't even play into this; because, believe me... MKX doesn't even play like MK9

Steve Beran should know what death means in MK; the MKII komic had a character named after him get killed by Mileena before the REAL him officially joined the MK team.

Judging from the responses he has been making, I gather 1 of 2 conclusions

1 - He is the only MK fan. His opinion is the only one that matters. And if you don't like it, it's simple : you're garbage at MK9 and not a real fan like him.
2 - He doesn't know how to read very well, and just doesn't feel like spending the time trying to decipher the array of many shaped characters that are all over his screen and would rather just vomit his opinion on and disregard everything else because it's easier.

I grew up with those characters. I was dying to see those characters get a redemption.
Not gonna happen though.

Yeah, because Darrius, Dairou, Kira, Frost, and various others were truly groundbreaking breaths of fresh air and uber cool! Lol Seriously, though, dude, you guys have to be patient. The game is released in April and not even half the full roster has been released yet. There's a lot of jumping to conclusions going on, to be honest. If you ask me, certain MK4 characters have a great chance of appearing, whether main game characters or DLC. Shinnok is definitely in and considering the fact that Tanya was voted as the most popular DLC for MK:2011, I'd say she is in it, too. Would be nice to see Fujin return with a long, Jesus-like beard, as well.

The fact that you people still kontinued to spend your hard-earned money on MK has sent the message that dead characters coming back is perfectly acceptable. The only way to stop this is with your wallet.

That's actually not a bad idea. Seems like the theme of mkx is to beat the shit out of Raiden for messing up the events of MK9 so badly. I honestly think you're on to something here. Maybe he is resurrected and joins Quan Chi and asks for him to revive Kung Lao and Kitana as his enforcers. He wouldn't have to hard of a time persuading them either seeing as how Raiden got them all killed in the first place haha

That's pretty much how I've felt about it. Decent write-up. Really excited to see how it turns out. Just hoping that they don't disappoint with the returning characters. If it's as you suggested, I could see that being a viable reason. Quan Chi resurrects Liu Kang much like he did Sindel. Bargains with him. Liu Kang requests Kitana and Kung Lao be revived as well under his circumstances. Makes sense IMO.
