finding a second main need help.

This is my first thread so i need the help. I have played mortal kombat since MKT and I have always liked kung lao and I know other people don't like him because they say he's cheap easily spamed but I like him because he is a lot like he was in MKT and I don't really bother with the very high combos cause fist of all I want to make my own and second I just want to have fun.

Any way I'm having trouble finding a second main. I like kitana and jade but I am not sure they should be my main. is there a character that is similar to kung lao. please help.:dontknow:
 
If you're playing for fun, why do you need a main? Just play main both of em. Or play as everyone. MK is largely balanced now, so no one really has too many cheap easy spammable tactics.
 
that is true but it is also fun finding one to. and there are those characters that you just don't like to like for me I hate johnny cage the most. but I also would like to know if there is a character that is similar to kung lao.

It was hard for me at first. Then I started to get that trophy by completing the arcade with eveeyone and slowly found my mains
 
I just tried scorpion against shao kon and he was pretty fun to use and I see why people like him. I will try the other characters though just to see.
do any of you think they are keeping cyber sub from now on or will they have him changed back to human in the next one.
 
I lol'd at Zoidberg, nice one.

I've been using Kenshi a ton latley. He takes quite a bit of getting used to, to use him effectively. He has a bit of a higher learning curve that most characters, but the reward is also high. His combos are really flashy also, definitely a crowd pleaser for KOTH rooms.
 
I main kabal and started to look for a second character to learn real good. i tried a few but the character i liked the most on first pick up was KL.

since i think alot of characters are pretty sluggish compared to most.. id recommend trying kabal . hes tons and tons of fun but kinda falls off vs teleporters
 
Kabal can deal with teleporters just fine, you need to spend more time with your "main." His sweep is super fast, EX Nomad Dash is good against people when they teleport.
 
Shang Tsung has been fun for me lately.
If you want to get good with Shang Tsung I'd suggest getting somewhat familiar with the whole MK9 roster.
Some BnB combos are good to know when you do his morph (that's what I'm practicing atm).
 
Use Sektor.
He's fast, massive danage potential and relatively easy to use. Plus he has very few weaknesses. His main one being jis weak wake ups.
 
when I use a character and I am in ladder mode I play as my main then when I get to Shao kon I chose a character that I have not gotten their ending for if I have fun with that character against SK then that puts them up high on my list.

The way i play a good scorpion and a good KL is a ridiculous headache for me. not so much the others just those 2 . you cant even dash cancel or anything . and who is your "main" i dont think we have played
