Looks decent.

It is interesting that each faction has just one character under it. I think those are just the leaders of those factions or chosen for best illustration. All make sense. Well, maybe except Cassie. Sonya/Johnny should have a higher rank than her. Cassie being there instead is another confirmation she will play a more important role than her parents.

Nevermind, I pointed out there was no new content on it (sadly) and that the planet Earth background seemed quite random.


BTW: is there a word in english to say "the day before yesterday"? We say "anteayer" in spanish.
 
Loved the new logo's designs for Black Dragon and Brotherhood of Shadows. Look more vivid than the originals, specially Black Dragon.

Actually it's not. At all. Multiplayer is global. Everyone will play from all around the world. The background should highlight that. Plus with all the different factions a planet is universal.

Not really. She might be featured because the whole world knows she's playable. It's possible that once Sonya is revealed, she'll become the face of Special Forces.

edit: but I wouldn't be surprised if Cassie had the biggest role, either.
 
Yo do make a good point with that reveal. But I'd say Cassie will be lead this time around. Sonya second and Johnny third. AS for parenting, Johnny has the upper hand ofc. That's why Cassie is all Johnny. She loves him. Sonya must've screwed up a lot.
 
Ok so i just watched UnCAGEDgamez video on the factions. Some interesting stuff!

Lin Kuei- Team Sub Zero
White Lotus- Liu Kang & Raiden, Related to the Order of Light
Special Forces- Jax, Sonya & other Operatives
Black Dragon- Kano & those who oppose the Special Forces
Brotherhood of Shadow- Led by Quan Chi

Im curious with these factions, will we see more than the characters that are listed. Will they just be Icons & Titles for the Faction you choose!

I think you're right, my man. I'd hate to admit it but it looks like Sonya is definitely confirmed. I thought we had Cassie in the game for a reason, i.e "passing the torch." I really, really hope it isn't as it seems.

Either that or it is an early face for Cassie. I'm reaching, I know, but I hope it isn't her. Sonya being in the storyline is totally fine but being a playable character is counterproductive, in my opinion, to pushing Cassie Cage as the "next generation."

Nah it's Sonya. Wouldn't be an early face because that's a different costume.
 
I'm guessing that is either really Sonya, or she is just the face of the Special Forces and she makes a cameo in the story.

It IS a passing of the torch if we see them interact in story mode with their daughter, or they get killed in MKX, somehow.
Remember, according to MK9, getting killed in story mode =/= unplayable.
 
And yeah I doubt it's an alt costume because you would have to explain how Sonya's hands can glow like Johnny's whenever you use the Brawler varations.
Or maybe Johnny's sperm is radioactive. XD

See, I'd be fine with that. I keep saying Sonya and Johnny being in the storyline for background purposes is fine but having them in the game? I'd hate that decision. I know they are legends and I usually go to bat for the old guard because the new characters tend to be super lame. Cassie looks promising, though, so having her overshadowed by her parents would be a bad move, if you ask me. Plus, doesn't she have moves from both of them anyway?
