Mortal Kombat (2011) brought upon several non-playable background characters that haven't been previously seen, on top of Skarlet who was technically visible in Mortal Kombat II as well as Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks (Kitana P2).

MK9 did however bring one entirely new character with a name: Ruutuu. Not much is known about Ruutuu but that he is Nightwolf's nightmare.

Since Noob Saibot may sit out this game, do you think that there are chances for this all-black Demon Spirit in MKX? Commander is said to know quite a lot about the Amerindian stories so I'd like to read at least his input. Comment.

I think MKX is the perfect place to bring New characters and possible Minor character from the series to fruition.
Tremor being my #1 choice for Minor characters

If Sub-Zero, in MKX, isn't Bi-Han then there's good reason to believe Noob Saibot still exists, in my opinion.

Regardless, I wouldn't mind seeing other wraith characters similar to Noob Saibot so long as they are not complete copy cats. If, however, Noob Saibot isn't in the game, then it would be acceptable to have another character close to him given a good explanation as to why other than the sake of ripping Noob Saibot off.

Ruutuu is an interesting concept but without Nightwolf in, it probably wouldn't have much dynamic to it. Unless they build something new for this concept, which is very possible, it would make a good character in my opinion. I assume "Ruutuu" is a native american word. Even though its a cool concept for a Nightwolf nemesis, I don't think it will make it past being a challenge tower character. I'd like to be surprised though.

I will be impressed Noob-Zer013 if you can solve the etymology of Ruutuu.

My suggestion is that it has just derived from "voodoo" because Ruutuu could be a voodoo demon or something. Voodoo people. But there could be more to it.

I could see him dealing with Havik even.

Well, from what I've read "ruutu" is a finnish word meaning "square" "diamond" or "box".

I don't know if that is the same word associated with the character but Nightwolf claims that his enemy has been plaguing his ancestors.

i want a female version of nightwolf but a darker more sinister character not necessarily a good guy.
something like dis

I don't think Noob Saibot will be in for this very reason.
That's just my opinion, though.

If Noob Saibot isn't in, then an original character like Ruutuu would be fine.
He could take Noob Saibot's place just the same way that Kotal Kahn seems to take Nightwolf's place in MKX.

That's not necessarily true.
Kotal Kahn seems to be Aztec, so that Native / Tribal angle could still work with Ruutuu.
The Apaches (Nightwolf's tribe) and the Mexicans were at war with each other from 1831 to about 1850, so maybe Ruutuu could be an ally of Kotal if he was Nightwolf's nemesis.

They could use Ruutuu as potential replacement for Noob Saibot, if Bi-Han became Sub-Zero again.

I'd be 100% Ok with that.

ruutu (Finnish) = square, "diamonds" in poker card games, monitor screen

Ruutuu katton. (slang) = Ruutua katson. (literal) = I'm watching the screen.

Anyhow, I would still like to think that Ruutuu as a name derives from the Amerindian languages. The case with Tarkata (meaning "to notice" in Finnish, i.e. you better notice Mileena's teeth) is different though because there is no real world counterpart for the Tarkatan people really so the developers could take the etymology from anywhere and Finnish is such a unique language, which is why even J.R.R. Tolkien and Steven Spielberg have taken use of it in their respective fictional universes.

Just as Raiden is the Thunder God (Thor, Zeus, Ukko etc.) in all the world's religions, Kotal was a god in the Aztec cultures in Mortal Kombat's version of the Earth.

Should Ruutuu fill Noob Saibot's boots, the NeRdS would get to start from a clean slate. He could have shadow moves, electric moves or something else altogether.

Exactly.
Ruutuu could fill the role of "wraith" that Noob once filled, much like Kotal fills the role of tribesman that Nightwolf once filled.
MKX is a passing of the torch game, and aside from descendants, some similar roles (not gameplay moves) to former characters would be nice.

The woman in Jade's MK9 ending would be nice. She should have a staff with a wind blade like end (like imagine Jade's staff connected to her razorang). Then she should do a fatality that'd split the victim from crotch to face.

I have a feeling Noob was chosen to be the champion of the Elder Gods and brought back to life. There is no way NRS would just throw away BOTH sub zeroes at the end of MK9.
