fatalities

is there gonig to be regular fatalities or all the kreate a fatalities with the different level. is there gonig to be the movie-type fatalities for the regular characters

just create a fatality...which i think is going to be the down point in this game. because basically everyone has the same fatality moves, and there are only so many. i personally would rather punch in a code and watch the move go.

but then again i never use fatalities anyway cos i can never remember them.

I would like to see both options;

'Kreate your own Fatality'

'Regular button code Finisher'

But it's confirmed that it's the former option.

So far we havn't seen any kombatant-specific Kreate a Fatality moves. I've seen all the characters performing the same moves. I wanna know where the spine-rip or freeze options are for Subby, and the TOASTY option for Scorpion, and the Acid Spit moves for Reptile! If they just have the same old moves for everybody it's gonna get beyond old.

ya exactly, its cool to punch the guy a few times or rip an arm off then cut off his head, but iwant to see some sweet fatalities like deception had, i dont want to see the same boring "combo-fatalities" or whatever they have going in the KAF. ya like i said itll be fun but i want the preset fatalities too.

i totally agree on the first part bro. Im worried about that too. I really do not like the create a fatality only. My g/f also would rather punch in a code and watch the move go. I sooo agree. Everything looks the same right now for the fatalities. I hope they fix this. Doubt it thought :/

Indeed. They've already plainly stated that we'll have kombatant-specific moves, but shit, what if we only have a couple per fighter and the rest are generic decapitations and the like?

I was pretty excited about this KAF idea early on, but the more I hear about it, the less I like the idea. Fatalities are far too integral a part of this series to mess with them so much. I still have the hope that it'll be a great new feature, though.

Thinking about how much stuff they're trying to cram into this game, it seems like this "an MK game every year" deal Midway's promising us is definitely not all it's cracked up to be. Just imagine all the corners they're probably going to have to cut to get this game out by October.

I don't know about that, in the past they have always had some space left to throw in extra stuff, I know that midway were confidant that it would be an October release but I think they'd push it back rather than cut corners at least I hope so.

Dude, no offence, but you don't know Midway at all.

Well they have been working on MK:A all the way since before MK:SM. I think they've had more time to work on this MK than any other. Also, to put it bluntly, MK:D and MK:DA were pretty much MK:A beta and alpha versions. They already have most of the costumes, most of the stages, and most of the fighting engine. All that was missing was a few stages, characters, and air kombat. That's far less than they even had to work out for MK:D. In fact, the only thing I can see slowing them down at this point would be Konquest mode. And even that most of it came from MK:SM development. I am confident they will meet the october deadline.

I know it seems like they are craming alot in, but imo they have been working on this game ever since they started on MK:DA. They are using the same engine that they have been using for years, and they just add tweaks to it everytime they come out with a new game. I think that is what they like to do. I would also go so far as to say that konquest mode in deception was for sure a stepping stone for MK:SM. Think of all of the characters they have already created, mix them all together from DA and D. IMO this game will probably be about the same amount of work as the last 3 games were, they just make improvments to what already exists, and then they throw in some new characters.

edit: Glamador you just barely beat me with that response, I agree with you all the way!

Well the game itself overall looks average based off of the demo. I must say though when you look at the game right off the batt, I see some things not too impressive -

1. The Graphics - MKDec looked so freaking good and you can tell that the graphics are taking a hit since they are cramming a lot of characters and content into the game

2. The Fat system - their putting the known fat system and mixing with a Brut system to make a basic kreate a fat system. This idea isn't bad but, as previous discussed, could just make it boring after awhile. Now if they made it where you unlock orginally fats for the different fighters along the way, that wouldn't be to bad.

3. The Stages - Some of the stages dont look too bad but I hope they up the detail to them just a bit. When comparing to a finished game like MKD and the stages they had, MKD looked great.

4. The Gameplay - the fighting system itself doesn't look bad. They have made the fighting a little bit looser like MKSM than the tighter fighting with MKD. The air juggling is great but so far most of the fighters air juggles are almost the same look and I hope it gets changed up to define the character.

5. Konquest - Even though they upped the graphics a bit and gave the character some fighting combo moves, it still looks like the movement and fighting appears to be tight. They stated before that it would be like MKSM fighting style and then during E3 Ed Boon stated that it has a kinda of sorta MKSM fighting style. Kinda bummed me out since the unique fighting system in MKSM was pretty smooth.

Really overall I will still buy this game. I know the game is at a DEMO STAGE anyway and there is still alot of room to be filled and improvements to be made. The only thing I haven't been liking Midway since MKSM's release is that they release it on release date even if it still has some bugs in it. I really hope that MK ARM goes through better testing phases than what MKSM didn't have. A Specially since MKA will be the closing chapter of this current MK series.

That is my 2 cents

unlocking the origional fatlaities???? now i like that idea. they could put them in kontent just to watch, if they cant make them useable. They could even throw in the origional fatalities from mk1-mk2-etc.

What are the Koins used for anyways, if there is no krypt???????????????????

I was thinking it will a customized brutality. That's my view about this whole kreate a fatality stuff. At the same time, when I saw the Gamespot video when Scorpion finishes Sub-Zero, it said "Brutal FATALITY" and it had six skulls on it. I think it will be different depending on how many moves you can do before going for the kill.

then the 7 move fatality on here, the video at the home page, scorpion kicked him like 6 times and ripped off his head, that sucked. for 7 moves i expect 2 arms gone, 2 legs, a heart, a spine, and a head gone. not 6 kicks to the junk then the head

well if you checked all pages around for this stuff, you'd notice that there are 3-button(arrows and main button) combos to do this sorta crap. time goes shorter, and i suppose the members wanted to get as many as possibly with the easy moves to see how high you could get with limited time and whatnot.

Right. I am sure after playing it more you can make the create a fat look nicer. Ed Boon did say that the more hits in a create a fat you do, the more koins, credit, points, whatever you will get.
