Ermac Leaked Image from MK9?

This may just be speculation but what if one of the producers or the camera guy from GameTrailers took these pictures while they were doing the Jax and subway reveal when no one was looking?

I miss the Pallet swapped ninjas, I mean they did Mileena and Kitana well, and Cyrax and Sektor so why not give the ninjas the same style...or show off their creativity with these new lame designs but give us classic alternate costumes!
 
Ermac just look awesome.
I dont like rain, but just in case, i wish to see a better design to rain, i dislike the armageddon costume, looks like kunglao with mask.
 
Truly love this look. Haters wanna hate, but it's friggin' awesome. Easily the second best design of the announced characters only to Sektor, in my opinion.
 
I think there is lack of red color in ermac's new look. When I look at his head and shoulders, my first thought is about Reptile's MKSM costume. Maybe we can't see his whole colors but with a little bit more red I would love his new look.
Goro was always my favorite sub-boss! A MK four-armed MK champion, how cool is that?^^
As for the palette swap ninjas: I love them. They symbolized MK. Some people who don't know MK very well say always kind a "uuuh MK is too bad to make different characters"-thing. But there is more. They always had a standard ninja costume but in different colors. But I can understand that NR Studio can't do it anymore. They have new opportunities with next-gen. Until MK3/UMK3 ninjas were only palette swap. Since MKDA they all are different. I think the best thing was in MK4. Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Reptile(ninja) looked similar, but not exactly the same way. They had different masks. But in MK movie too, BTW I like ninjas in MK movie. In MK2 movie ninjas suck

this photo is definitly real.............because the pics of subby and scorpion have the guy in the plaid shirt in it. So does the goro and ermac photos. That means they were takin on the same day in the same room even it looks like. Why would they have two real pictures and two fake ones???? Besides Goro and Ermac look f*ckin sweet.....way to cool to be fakes
 
I love ermacs look, and goros, in fact, i was never a big fan of the whole palette swap, it all just seemed like they had to do that to save money and it was just cheap, and what are the chances every damn ninja will just happen to wear the same outfit, and everyone wearing a different color?!?!
 
Yet Ermac looks alot like the MK Deception and Mk Armageddon, I feel like this render has a much darker and serious tone, like his face is just emanating so much dark telekinetic power. The only critique I would say is that his head in this image looks a bit bulky in relations to his body...cant fully judge until I fully see him in the game, but regardless, Ive been waiting so long for anything ermac and this image has got me ridiculiously excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

p.s. I wonder if his story of transitioning from an evil character to a good character will be in the game

They are not being posted originally to TRMK, but being passed around the community by whoever first discovered them. We will gladly take down the posts if requested, but so far haven't heard anything.

Whoever took the photos likely should not have been taking photos at all, but defied that and did so anyways. This is also the reason we're not running a story about this on the front page, we'll wait until characters are officially announced. I believe Ed said himself in the Game Trailers piece, the final roster hasn't even been determined yet.

That tweet can be interpreted in different ways.

It could be read like you did; as a counter to the proposed leak. Seems like a weak excuse to me though.

Or it could be read as a confirmation; meaning "come on, you guys know goro will be in mk9... do you really have to speculate?" This interpretation doesn't seem much like Boon, but it is still a possibility.
 
I was expecting something more complete for Ermac... Or should I say less nomadic. Goro's render is flawless :) I hope the bosses won't be playable. That participated to Shao Kahn's success back then, he was a strong unplayable boss.
 
I don't think any bosses other than Shang Tsung will be playable. They need that element of hatred, and you won't get that from bosses if you can play as them. They need to keep them locked away and unable to be played.
 
for me a lot of the charactors look over the top and more like flashy soul calabour charactors with all the unnecessary bits of armour, i would much prefer if the charactors were closer to the original concepts but still detailed, thats just me - bap bap yinnng bap!
