i would say hes still top tier but thats my opinion

@xTHUGx bombtrap was fixed on ps3 so xbox will get the patch soon enough
 
Cyrax is still a monster, I mean look at Tony-T's combo videos, none of them required the bomb trap, and as a Cyrax lover I have actually gotten those combos to work online including the terrible lagg *360 user*

Is this combo considered a version of the bomb trap? When i do this combo online people ***** saying "theres a patch coming, get ready blah blah"

I think that combo is pretty legit and it shouldnt be altered/patched or what have you at all

No, it's not a bomb trap and if anyone complains about it they are a moron. They are just jealous they don't have combo skills like us. Nice avatar too. ;)
 
So funny story. Last night was fighting raiden and I chuck a net at him. He instantly ports behind me and supermans, and catches up to and lands in the net anyway.
 
i love cyrax and even though his bomb trap will be removed this tuesday I'm still going to main him, but one quick question...what is an effective wake up attack when your getting the rushdown? his chest saw if you miss leaves your more open than Paris Hilton in heat, his leg spin kick to grab isnt fast either, and don't bother throwing a net at your oppenent it most likely will miss....he can really messs peoples wake up game up pretty bad but he has none himself...any suggestions?
 
some chars just have weak wakeup options. this is usually balanced out with other benefits of hte char.

try delayed wakeups, rolls, and blocking. all very powerful adn highly underestimated because they dont "look cool"

hell a reptile player won CEO and abused delayed wakeup a ton.
 
delayed wakeups? hmmm how would u do this? just not put in any inputs when knockdown? and then input a wakeup while your laying down still? ohhhhhhhhhhhh snaps
 
a delayed wakeup is when you hold down so you dont get up right away.

however if you do this your "wakeups" will not be true wakeups anymore as they will no longer possess the unique aspects of when they are normally used as a wakeup attack. it will just be the regular special.

delayed wakeup is a mindgame thing. if someone is pressuring hard and wants to keep pressuring, they may time tehre attacks for your wakeup, if you delay it, they wiff, you get up and punish.
 
so if i do a delayed wakeup, could his net be used as the special? or does it have to be a "wake up attack"? i hope i worded the question right lol
 
heres the thing you ahve to understand. delayed wakeup is just you delaying you physically getting up. if you try to execute a special after a delayed wakeup whiel still on the ground then you will just do a special as if you were standing. there will be nothing special, it will not be a wakeup attack, just a attack.

i suggest you go fiddle with it. people who like to pressure oftentimes get caught offguard with it. tho smart ones will learn to adapt to it.

But can you throw in an EX move for the delayed attack? or does it have to be a normal attack?
 
id suggest experimenting with that. i usually just do delayed wakeup into a combo/grab as into a special just nets me typically less then 10% damage, and the chars i use most of there options are either too unsafe to start with or dont go into a combo (reptile, csz, noob, kano)

lol that is very true, but it gives me almost a 2D feel almost like back in MK3 lol I wuv me some Cyrax! I love the damage on that costume too like his green eye is popping out.
