i totally agree. like i play plenty of games, and no matter what game i play, i always play on the hardest difficulty, i want a challenge. End Game's reward shouldnt be bought. theres a reason its called the CHALLENGE TOWER. its supposed to be challenging. anyways if someone spends enough time to earn the coins that would be needed to pass End Game, then they should have the time to beat End Game. theres no way i would ever cheat to bypass something hard, that takes the fun and sense of reward and accomplishment when you finallly beat the Boss or whatever. On MK vs DC i win 99% of matches i play except when playing douchebag spammers, and i only got good by playing the game. if you play the game, you will get better and sure End Game will probably take multiple tries to beat but thats the purpose of it being the last challenge. its difficult on purpose. i dont see why people should get a reward that they didnt work for.

Well if they do try to buy their way through, they'll be spending a lot of time doing the same thing over and over and over.
Ed said the reward will cost some mass coin :)
 
Personally, I am all for the idea of being able to buy your way through. I never understood the point of adding features to a game that are extremely difficult to unlock. If a person is not that skilled at the game, all you are doing is depriving them of all the features of a game. Given the prices of video games, I am not for the idea of buying a game and only getting access to 95% of it. Would you do that for anything else? buy a tv with only most of the features available the rest you have to earn lol

If its such an issue, I say have it that if you buy the ultimate prize you get the award but offline only. To get it online to show off, you have to get it legit. And if need be, you have to earn it to get the trophy/achievement.

I get the online argument, I understand its a point of pride. However, for people who aren't online gamers or into achievements its more of a pain. I don't care about some online score I have, I want to enjoy the game and all that comes with it. I have never played online or plan to play online.

When it comes to the challenge tower, I love the idea that players are allowed to bypass by buying through. I know I plan to give it an honest attempt but if I get stuck I'll buy through lol. I have no problem with that and if they want to disable my trophies/achievements thats fine. if I cannot use the final reward online thats fine too.

I'd actually be more amused if I beat the whole tower without buying through, cuz i would still care less lol. But that is just me, I understand that there are people who feel that you must earn the reward and I get why. If you bust your butt to get it, its a bit annoying to see someone else waltz it buying it, But my thoughts are what about people, like myself, who want the reward to enjoy in their own home, offline?

Hence my thoughts if you buy it, you can only use it offline. if you win the prize legit, you can get some achievement saying so and you can play online.

that way the hardcore players can show off their reward. and the casual players can enjoy the same reward but offline only.
 
i dont mind the being able to bypass challenges in the challenge tower. i get that. somethings are pretty hard sometimes. i dont mind that you can buy your way through End Game, but you should in NO WAY be given the reward for it. you reap what you sow. if you cheat/buy your way through End Game you should get your just reward for that. NOTHING.
 
im sorry for saying that buying was cheating. the koins are there for a reason but honestly if you spend the time to get enough coins to bypass End Game, why you couldnt you have beat it in the first place?
 
well agreed logically it would make sense to just beat the game, but i still think its a nice feature to have for people who aren't hardcore players. Plus for someone like my roommate....goodness... the more he loses a battle the more irate he gets. so this is a feature for him lol

Honestly, if you use coins to bypass a lot of missions, you're cheating yourself out of learning how to play the game and other characters. There's nothing more to it.

so seems like a hell of a lot of work to do for one costume.. heard rumors shes naked but tht can't be cuz the australian report said there was no nudity. So honestly what do you think is so amazing about this costume that they are making such a crazy big deal of it..??

Yeah, but with 299 other challenges, you're sure to have earned alot of koins. If you save up your koins, I'm sure you'll have enough to buy your way through.

You'd be sacrificing alternate costumes, arenas and all sorts of other goodies just for

I am curious did they say if we will or will not be getting Koins for playing arcade?

if you beat arcade with every character, and do all or most 299 challenges thats some serious koin-age lol.
 
its a video game. who wants to do all that for "the best alt ever". i think id rather do it for nothing....that makes me not even wanna do it.

yeah but the script is the script.. it would say that in the script.. the only thing i can think of is they deliberatly changed the title of the prize. i mean in the script it says the alt, so that means it will say it on screen, but what if all of a sudden it changes to whateevr its supposed to be, like makes u think u did all that for a costume, and then bam u get the rug pulled and its something else entirely.. IF that is the case what do you guys suppose it could be?? would be awesome if it was the hd kollection or at least one of the games, but thats a pipedream, file would be too big i think..

I have a feeling this last challenge is going to piss me off like Shao Kahn does to me in MK2. Thats freaking badass! I kan't wait!
 
cant remember where i read it but im pretty sure it's been confirmed that the flesh pit costume isn't nude.
 
as for the prize. they've had plenty of time to work on it since the demo is a really early build so chances are the prize's been changed.
