does anyone else agree with me when i say that cage's fatality was the most expressive and brutal in MK1? why do you think yes or no? finally, do you think they have been able to top it with another one of his fatalitys?
 
I think Raiden's zap until your head explodes was pretty graphic...although now I think about it not particularly "brutal" in the sense that he just used lightning. I think the Spine Rip and the Uppercut Decapitation were the 2 most brutal definitely...but nothing will beat Kung Lao's hat slice in MKII.

More love for Kung Lao's hat slice. I remember my reaction to seeing it for the first time; Kung Lao did the slice, the opponent fell to their knees appearing otherwise unharmed, only to notice a thin red vertical line starting to form before... RIP. Going from "what the hell happened, he looks fine" to "holy shit, that's awesome".

Anyway, as far as MK1, I'd probably place Sub-Zero's spine rip as number one, followed by Raiden's head explosion (the amount of blood was extremely impressive) and Kano's heart rip.
