Boon tweets

I'm talking about his trait power increases. Plus faster start up on any combo of his would be crazy. His trait is already amazing and his damage is great. The teleport would probably be very slow. I don't believe it for a second though because it's not on Boon's twitter.
 
I think faster start-up on 33 would actually be a decent legit buff though. I think it's like 28 start-up frames. Change it to 21 and it'd be pretty good.

I saw one of Boon's tweets teasing about buffs for Ares, I expect to see more about him soon. Hopefully this patch isn't just buffs, I'd like to see some glitches involving Zod get patched... and the nerfing of another certain Kryptonian.
 
They are not useless, you just don't know much about the character. :rolleyes:

Both of those are pretty decent buffs. I was hoping for a trait buff. I was actually hoping for faster to be able to get in and out of it, but we'll see how this goes.
 
I know that nearly everyone in the game has a projectile and that hitting him with just one knocks him out of his trait

I know that Cyborg doesn't have a hard knockdown strong enough to keep him in his trait long

I know his start up is incredibly slow

So unless his health regen is near instantaneous I don't see how these "buffs" are worthwhile. Adding one point of Amour on his trait would have been a better buff
 
Considering that it's meterless health regen, regenerates fairly quickly and can be canceled with either dashes or specials; adding armor to it would be just plain stupid.
 
Of course it would have been but it would have been better.

What they added has changed nothing, they'll still be a 0.5% chance of seeing him in online play

Lobos buffs definitely made him better, Cyborgs however has not

EDIT: His Grapple buff is more interesting as it could have better crossup potential, but again its not the fastest in the world and could be easily detected

Not every character can be amazing. There are bound to be some suck asses somewhere in the cast.


Looking at the roster, a good majority of the characters are viable. It's just the gap between regular tiers the God tier is rather large.
 
Im not complaining technically lol. Id prefer a 0.5% chance of Cyborg, it makes it more special because theres 2 people that I know of are really good and its a blast playing with them and they don't use his trait either.

I just want to see less of the top 5 and these changes to the characters so far it doesn't feel like thats the case, unless Boon is saving the changes for the top 5 until last so people don't rip out their pubes in either rage of hype
 
According to the Injustice story mode, somewhere there's a world where TwinSnakes complains about seeing Banes and Ares' online all the time and never getting to see a Superman.


Regardless of who is in the top 5, somebody has to be in the top 5. Superman can get the Kano treatment but there will still be someone to take his place.

I said I want to see less of them, bringing the bottom 'tiers' up is a start, but you have to bring the top down too, even the playing field. You said it yourself, the difference between them and everyone else is huge, you could make F23 hugely negative on block, his Zoning super slow on start up, his Super a 200 frame start up etc....(being drastic here but the point still stands) He will still be in the top 5, people just won't think he is an easy choice

So no, there isn't an alternate Earth with me as supreme overlord, but lets be honest. It would be a damn fine world to live in

Even with Cyborg's trait how it is, I can still manage to get a knockdown and recharge 5-10% health. I just started playing him also. I like to do B123~4 and if they go to rush me down I can cancel out of the trait into DB1. You can even cancel straight out into his Super, which always catches people off gaurd. If they are going to projectile on wakeup, I condition them to not want to. Trust me when I say that his trait buff will be a pretty decent buff, as well as his grappling hook. He isn't getting a lot of buffs like Lobo because he isn't ass like Lobo is. Once Lobo gets buffed from this patch, it will make a big difference.

He'll be top 5 for the dumbasses who don't know better and pick Superman just because he's Superman. I know you're just throwing out numbers and changes, but those changes would destroy the character and render him useless compared to the Bottom 5 of the cast.

F23 is his staple pressure tool, mixed with breathe.

It's not how fast the projectiles start up, it's the fact that he builds meter super fast compared to everyone else, and the fact that he can have super stocked fast that means that he has a 2 frame punisher that nets 30%+ and can catch everything. I agree that he needs somethings adjusted, but not taken away.

From that post it's safe to say that you don't know much about balance at all, lol.

Point I was trying to make was that it would take ALOT to get superman out of the top 5 and refuting the claims by BBBLB

Meh, the gap isn't THAT huge, it's big, but not so big to the point where the character isn't nerfred to shit.

Do you even know what makes him top 5?
