Sorry, But It doesn´t confirm anything... It´s just a probability...
Reiko must get all the Kamidogus first and there he could have a chance, but he can be easily killed by the special forces and the Kahnatum in Shang´s Island in the next issue....

Just saying, hes already a villain. He would just be a bigger villain. I'm not going off of what I want. From a writer's stand point, Reiko seems like he's a set up character for a twist. I also don't think it's any coincidence that they've kept Lui Kang in hiding. That's just what I think. If he's the big bad blood god, I'm fine with that idea.

I also agree with one of the posts above. This topic doesn't deserve it's own thread.
 
His plan's probably gonna go haywire. He can't be the blood god because the comics take place at the 15 year mark where the game jumps to the 25 year mark. What, is he gonna be sitting on his ass eating chips till it's time for him to re-emerge as a sub boss? No.

The latest "leak" has more likelihood of being true than this. I HAVE the physical issue, and it's quite clear that Reiko's scheme is going to be foiled.
 
I still think Havik will be our big bad of the game. He seems to be one that is the controlling the demon blood. He would fit the surprise returning character hint from Ed Boon a while back.
 
Havik / Reiko working with Quan Chi perhaps? It definitely seems Havik is trying to trick Reiko, but Reiko is clearly using Havik to collect the daggers as well. However, there is already the mention of a demon messing with the blood magic. Who is that demon? That could point to Liu Kang / Shinnok / Quan Chi, definitely not those two.

When will the next preview come out?
 
I'd be surprised if Reiko could outflank Havik. A Shao Kahn wannabe vs a master of chaos magic? I know who my money's on.
 
It's an interesting development and it's something people have been talking about for a while. But I'm still not convinced Havik and Reiko are in the game and definitely not convinced they are the big bad duo. Not saying it's impossible, I wouldn't mind that much, but I dunno. There must be more to this. Someone manipulating even Havik...

You are mistaken.

It's said that Reiko WANTS TO BECOME THE BLOOD GOD.

The "demon" that has been corrupting the Kamidaggers has not been revealed yet.

Notice that Reiko wants to join the daggers and THEN become the blood god. But there is something else corrupting the Kamidogu, not him.
 
As long as it's not that big log with wings and claws called Onaga, I will be happy. It might be Shang Tsung, who knows ;)

I just hope it's unannounced character, would be stupid if it's Shinnok or Quan Chi actually.

1) The whole blood god thing likely has nothing to do with the game's story

2) Reiko isn't the blood god. Havik is saying he can become the blood god, but there is already a current one (whoever granted Kotal power against Goro).

Reiko is mincemeat, unfortunately. He's overly ambitious in the comic and there's no way he gets away with it. I would like him in the game, but it's not gonna happen, least of all as the boss.

Wow what's up with the attitude? Ironic you call people ridiculous when the story trailer showed some1 escaping the temple in red smoke. The blood god has been discussed throughout. Who is ridiculous now?

Also, Reiko can still become the blood god....

One of Kenshi's variations is possessed which makes me thing that the blood from the comic will play a apart in the game. Also one your factions can be invaded by the Chaos Realm. So I think Havik is our big bad or maybe he will be our unplayable sub-boss in the game.

Outworld and the Netherrealm can invade, too, that doesn't prove much of anything about the big bad. I also don't think Kenshi's Possessed variation will have anything to do with the Kamidogu; none of them have given anyone the power to transform into a ghost samurai creature.

I think that makes it less likely we'll be seeing a Blood God character in the game--because Kotal already has the title!

I'm sure he's possessed by Sento in that variation, didn't that sword have some sort of mind of its own?

I agree with the second, but we can't affirm the first since we did saw a red cloud on the story trailer and an ambient EXACTLY like the one when Fox kills the Shirai Ryu.

And also the fact that the Amulet is the center artifact of the game, and the Kamidaggers guard it, and something is corrupting it to acquire the Amulet.

So it has a good probability of being addressed in game.

We still don't know what happens between the comics (the latest editions) and the game's storyline, though. Who knows what happens during these 25 years? Maybe the daggers aren't even gathered until the end of the game and then we get whoever it is the boss. Havik and/or Reiko could be in hiding or something. Maybe it takes them 25 years to finally reach the final phase of their plan. Ridiculous, but seeing as the game addresses so many years it is not impossible. Surely there will be a relation between the comics, the first game chapter and the final chapter - it would suck major ass if it was just a bunch of random stuff. I don't think that'll be the case.
