Batman's brutality & Deathstroke's Fatality revealed?

But you guys wanted to include the character and DC didn’t want anything too brutal.

Hector Sanchez: Here’s the thing, we have to come up with a brutality for Batman what can we do. He can’t hurt someone really really bad so let’s stick a sonar device on him, summon a bunch of bats and they attack the person but they don’t kill them. It’s just one of those things…but with Deathstroke it’s totally cool to stick a sword in a woman and shoot’em in the face. People kind of dig that one.
 
Sorry, wasnt sure if other sites were viewed as competitive sites to ours. Either way Deathstrokes sounds sick and batmans sounds boring.
 
I figured Batman would be the vanilla of this game - Plain and boring.

Bottom tier, too. I have no interest in playing with him in the game, which is sad.
 
I don't know, there's a slight possibility you could gets rabies from one of the bats. Batman could potentially possibly kill someone, or at least make them get painful shots. BRUTALITY!
 
I don't really like the idea of Deathstroke's fatality. Another gunshot to the head? They'll probably give Jax a headshot too, just to go all out for redundancy. Hey, why not give everyone a headshot; I'm sure Baraka and Kitana can find a gun somewhere.

I'm actually okay with Batman's from the sound of it. It does sound a bit tame, but I think it could have potential if it's done correctly.
 
Fatalities are all about presentation, not content. Almost every fatality in MKDA involved crushing or removing the opponents head somehow and they were all unique and interesting.

Bottom line, until I see it in action, that description simply isn't enough for me to judge EITHER of those fatalities properly. At first glance Batman's does sound lame (especially considering Batman HAS brutalized people before, totally canon). Batman never kills, but he does push the boundary more often than not. At the same time, Deathstroke's sounds brutal and who knows, maybe it will look better in action?

Really the options are limited by the T rating. How do you kill somebody without cutting off their head, disembowelling them, ripping their torso off, or cutting their jugular? I mean you're left with shooting them, stabbing them, and lame "cut away at the last minute" stuff. So really I expect to see a lot of variations on the gunshot.

The characters with superpowers have a few more options however. Personally I think Superman's brutality should have been grabbing the opponent and jetting into the upper atmosphere where the opponent passes out from lack of oxygen before he plummets back to the ground for the finishing blow. Now THAT'S brutal.
 
I'm personally not too happy with the way they're treating Batman anyway. But in all fairness there isn't much you can do with a Human with no powers or weapons so to speak. I would have gone with a pressure point paralyzer move, or my personal favourite from JLU, where he just walked up to the badguy (Deadshot? I don't remember) and whispered in his ear, and the guy just curled up and started whimpering. There's nothing more brutal than breaking someone's mind.

Sorry but that sounds incredibly boring, especially for a game like Mortal Kombat, be it rated T or M.
 
Read about this the other day, awesome news. Still, for a T rated game this is easily the most brutal by far....they are getting away with a lot.

I just wish DC would open up more...the Batman brutality sounds interesting. DS's sounds wicked cool, can't wait to see that one.

ok if u go to the official site it says :its tottally cool to stick a sword and shoot (or sumethin like that)

but its not the real idea for it
 
It also says "people kind of dig that one", implying it is indeed a fatality and those who've seen it have enjoyed it.
