Batgirl in action

The thing I find hilarious is when people were dissing her before they seen her gameplay saying "Oh she's just going to be a Batman clone." ect. ect. And then when they see the gameplay they get hype for her. This isn't directed at anyone specifically it's just my observation from browsing the net on Injustice DLC.

Personally I wasn't opposed to her at all at first and I think she looks pretty decent, probably won't really use her a bunch but I'll try her out for sure.

People want some variety, the current roster has 6 Batman related characters, thats a quarter of the roster when the DC universe is real diverse and there are plenty of good options to pick from. Yes she looks like another well done character and hats of to NRS however they could have given that base moveset to how many other characters?

Its smart marketing and based of the comic sales since the new 52 line it's really a no brainer why she was added.

Yeah, this game also has six batman stages. Did Wayne Manor Night really need it's own stage? NRS definitely dropped the ball in the creative department.
 
When you look at it, was there really ever any doubting Batgirl would be the female DLC character? Aside from her being present as an Oracle character card in the iOS version of the game, that is. DC [having the final say so] would have chosen her simple based off of the fact of her New 52 sales are consistently somewhere in the top 50 best selling comics (collectively with DC, Marvel, and indies) each month and she's the most recognizable female icon to a mainstream audience in comparison to pitching a less recognizable character that's requested by a small group of people on the internet; ala Starfire or Black Canary.

Her New 52 look would be a cool add.
 
Batgirl: "Bring it on, Dicky boy!"

Nightwing: "Are you sure about this Barbera?"

or

Nightwing: "You think you're better than me Babs?"

Batgirl: "I don't think. I'm sure I'm better than you!!!

Sure, she's an interesting character. However, the problem a lot of people are having with this game is the favoritism NRS is showing to the batman universe. Eight characters and six stages! That's ridiculous. What about the other characters? Some characters don't even have their own stage.

I don't think Star City or Central City would have been particularly interesting, visually that is like Themyscira or iconic like Gotham. Now, Oa on the other hand would have been good to see.
 
Well, we already have a Lantern stage (Ferris Aircraft), although it would definitely be nice to have Oa as an actual stage. How about Thanagar, Cadmus, and/or the Hall of Doom for future stages?
 
Doesn't matter. She'll be the Skarlett of Injustice. Everyone will gush their love for her at the beginning, and 3 people will play her.
