Baraka or Quan Chi to main??

Hey, guys. I'm pretty much a noob to MK9. Started a couple weeks ago, pretty late in the game probably. I want to main Quan Chi or Baraka and I was hoping to get some friendly advice about them. Not looking for an easier route just would like to get some info from more experienced players. Maybe some pros and cons.Thanks.
 
Quan Chi for the most part is more noob friendly. You just need to learn his mix ups, maybe even his Rune trap and you'll be fine. BaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAraka on the other hand requires slightly more, not a whole lot, but still more. His mid screen juggles are tricky and you need to know your spacing to determine the proper punish.



I'd say main them both. Having 2 mains isn't hard, if you have a library card.

I'd say Baraka since he is more uncommon.

I haven't faced a legit Baraka yet. Just ones that use spark and blade charge so I teabag them with I win :)

I'd go for Quan-Chi as he has a pretty mean way to comeback with the rune trap, however his difficulty comes with him having to save meter, so you can't waste a bit of meter for spacing at the end of combos with ex moves or you can't use breakers too much because Quan NEEDS that meter for rune trap.

Thanks guys! Although, I'm not sure what some of the terms mean (Mixups, Runetrap). I'll look in around to find out all I need to know. I hope y'all got a thread for that.

Mixups are to confuse your opponent to land hits on them, basically. Switching between low hits, medium hits, and overheads. An overhead attack is one that when they are crouching and blocking, it will still hit them. The Rune Trap is the enhanced Rune mixed with normals (punches, kicks, etc).
