Anyone else "keep it real" with fatalities?

What I mean by this is performing fatalities against characters only when it would really make sense. For example, performing a fatality again D'Vorah as Mileena, but not performing a fatality against Jax as Jacqui. I really like doing this because not only does it make my arcade playthroughs and such feel more realistic, if that's the right word, but it also keeps the fatalities feeling fresh, as depending on my opponents I only perform them here and there.

The entrances between characters and story really start showing who is on who's side, since there are many different relationships in the game, making things interesting. So anyone else use fatalities in his fashion? Or maybe you do something similar, but only restrict fatalities between family members or something of the sort. I just think it's really awesome to regulate fatalities, then when for instance Kotal Kahn says in his entrance quote to Erron Black that he's choosing death for betraying him, the fatality just feels that much sweeter.

Finishing off Sonya with an X-Ray is hilarious with Johnny especially when he calls her a bish (goddamn language filter) in one of their intros together

I generally fatality if my opponent used one of me. However I sometimes end the game with a grab.
If they've given me a really hard time, I use a brutality.

I really don't care.
People have been able to kill relatives in previous games, so I don't see why it's such a big deal in MKX.
I love doing Cassie's gun / bubblegum Fatality and Brutality on Johnny and Sonya, and if I dabble in some Jax gameplay I have no trouble with turning Jacqui's head into an ashtray or using Takeda and doing his whip Fatality on Kenshi.

Been playing like this for years. For me, just seemed weird having Raiden off his chosen warriors. Usually end matches with allies with a throw or uppercut. However, playing against a human controlled opponent, all bets are off. It's however I feel like at the moment :)

Erron didn't betray kotal... Did he?

As Cassie, I really don't care. I love burning up her dad with the Black Dragon Faction Kill and taking a "selfie" with her mom. ;)

Yes, I use to play this way back. In MK9 I use to make up a reason in my mind for the fight and decide whether to do a fatality or not.

Now in X, its even better with the intros and whatnot. I love playing that way.

And I choose revenant costumes when I have a fatality fever. "Sorry, anout your head, Raiden, you let me die." This is why I love MK, it makes me feel like a child again.

The emphasis this time around has been on the neXt generation. A big fuss was made about them so this subject came up where as it didn't really before. I tend to fatality everyone with Reptile but not every time with relatives. When I killed Takeda with Kenshi's puppet fatality (the most gruesome death in the game imo) it felt even more horrific. Kind of put off doing that again. Yes I'm a wuss. :) Who says evil computer game desensitize us all? :P

I really don't care about any of that when it's 1-vs-1 or 1-vs-cpu matches because it's not canon with the story.
If it was Cassie killing Sonya or Johnny in the story or Jax killing Jacqui in the story, then I could see your point.
For me, though, none of that stuff ever mattered when I play individual matches.
I have done Fatalities on Noob Saibot with Cyber Sub-Zero in MK9 a few times.
I have done Fatalities on Kuai-Liang Sub-Zero using Bi-Han Sub-Zero in MK9 a few times.
I have done Fatalities on Sindel using Kitana in MK9.
I have done Fatalities on Kitana using Sindel in MK9.
I have done Fatalities on Mileena using Kitana in MK9.
I have done Fatalities on Kitana using Mileena in MK9.

None of that matters to me, because none of those single player matches are canon.

The intros are what made me develop this habit, as in MK9 everyone sounded like they didn't mind kicking whoever's ass. But when two characters in MKX exchange a friendly intro, or even just say they're training or share a giggle, a fatality at the end just makes the conclusion feel really silly and out of place to me.

My friend gets squeamish when he sees fatalities performed against female characters, lol I was quite surprised.

yeah i do this sometimes since i've been playing with a freind (don't have it yet) sometimes it can be very offputing for me when we listen to the intros hell some times i would be reluctant to pull off a damn x ray if it is technical allies fighting each other depending on the intro

the only time i would make an exception is if im fighting an revenant version of one of the characters or if a fatality is pulled of on me on the ladder

My morals go as followed:

If they share a friendly relationship, no fatality.
Rivalry, fatality.
Piss me off online, bed of ice fatality.
