Another rant from The_Pathfinder regarding MKX (ignore me, I may offend you)

I also share you sentiment regarding Cassie.
I had an open mind about her when Ed announced her at E3, but I also haven't seen anything (thus far) regarding her gamplay that "Wow-ed" be about her.
Who knows, though, maybe it'll be different once she's polished and the game comes out.
Even if not, when I factor in that I like 3 of the 4 new characters and also add Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Kano, Quan Chi and Goro making the cut, that's 9 out of the 10 revealed characters, thus far, that I like.

I liked her vampire gimmick and special moves, but yeah, I didn't care for her costume and appearance.
With Skarlet being the "blood" character, though, I don't see her making it in.
That, and she isn't as popular as some of the other characters from the 3D (MK4 thru MK: A) era.
But she's a ninja. Two ninjas in an MK game is always too few.

I was talking about the possibility of Nitara not making it, not Skarlet.
Skarlet seems to be replacing Nitara, IMO, especially with the "Herp derp" bad taste that people have in their mouths regarding vampires, due to the Twilight protagonist who has the personality and acting skills of a tree.
I take that back.
Trees can act better than her, as Lord Of The Rings has proven.

Those Twilight fangirls don't know jack shit about Vampires.

Count Dracula? Vlad the Impaler? Countess Bathory? THOSE are what you call Vampires (two of the three were real life people, by the way).

Agreed.

I wouldn't mind a vampire character like Nitara in MKX, though, but most people would probably jump on the "Herp derp. No Twilight in MKX" train, despite the fact that a new serious Dracula movie just recently came out, Dracula Untold.

I thought Nitara was cool, but I can't stand her wings. It looked like they were trying to make her seductive, like a vampire should be, but I can't be attracted to a vampire with giant dragon wings coming out of it's back. Just a fun fact: Vlad the Impaler influenced the person that made Count Dracula to make Count Dracula. Vlad the Impaler was a famous serial killer at that time, and people made up stories about him being a creature called a vampire, and they called him Count Dracula. I think it was mostly to scare children so they would stay away from him.

Looked more like Gargoyle wings, to me, but yeah I agree as far as not liking the wings on Nitara.....

He wasn't just a serial killer. He was a warlord with an army and a grand estate where he staked his enemies heads on spikes/spears to scare off any foe. He was nicknamed Vlad Tepes which means Vlad the Impaler because of this.

Bram Stoker was the author who used Vlad Tepes as inspiration to his fictional character, Count Dracula.

Yes, I like vampires alot and have studied them alot. :P

Only thing i don't like about nitara and skarlet both are the moves where they throw blood, I think that's stupid as hell. it's not throwing blood it's throwing blood to deal direct damage like any other normal projectile. I would like it as a mark, and you do more damage as long as your opponent is marked. throwing blood or throwing up on the floor as a special moves just stupid as fvck.

Is it true that Elizabeth Bathory bathed in the blood of her victims to preserve her youth, or beauty, or whatever it is?

You know what pissed me off the most about Nitara's stupid wings?

They were always going thru the floor when she fell on her back. How did that not bother anybody else?
Same went for Onaga's goofy wings. They were always glitching thru shit, like a ghost

I don't know why, but that little stuff always bugs me.

I thought Nitara was a dragon when I was younger because of the wings :P. I think Nitara could work again if they totally revamp the character with a new design. I always hated her design since she looks ugly as crap and her outfit looks like shit too.

It was never proven, no. It was a rumour amongst her servants. Bathory and some other noble women used to strap up female servants and use them for sex games and light torture. A theory is that sometimes these "games" went too far and the servant possibly died because of it.

I believe the MK team tried to make her look somewhat like Morrigan from Darkstalkers, though Morrigan is a succubus. Either way, I liked the wings, it's a rare thing to see a vampire character with actual wings. However, I do agree that the wings should look different. Maybe make them part of her arms, but folded together when not using them. Kinda like Jenny from Bloody Roar when she is in Bat mode, but just the wing part.
