Am I the only one who doesn't like any of the new characters??

Can't wait to see Takeda in the stream tonight (tonight for me). If the "whips" part isn't Takeda, I dunno who it would be. If they reveal a new character with a whip, that would be interesting too, though I find that unlikely. The whip is my favourite weapon of all, so to see someone use a whip in MK would be awesome to me! And I find it kinda interesting that Takeda has a whip-like weapon. Mixed with his Metal Gear/Ninja Gaiden looks, he's slowly worming his way up to be my favourite of the new characters.

It's most definitely Takeda. I'm ridiculously excited to see his gameplay. I'm looking forward to him the most in MKX.

There are some scenes in the trailers where Takeda reminds me of that guy from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, the old one. And yes, that dude was blazing hot. Takeda is very attractive.

If you're going to crap on a character, at least spell their damn name right. It is "Kotal Kahn," not "Khan."
 
One thing I love in regards to Takeda is that NRS got the Japanese naming customs right when Sub-Zero referred to him as "Takahashi Takeda" as opposed to the Westernized "Takeda Takahashi".

I find it surprising that people find Ferra & Torr to be generic. Like, what? And then praise Takeda? What?

Jacqui is my favourite new comer. Jax family clan. the haters.

Takeda- why cause he's asian with a bandana? He has an armor suit. A sword and harpoon weapons. We know he will fight nothing like kang.

That makes me wonder though... Hanzo Hasashi would actually be Hasashi Hanzo then, right? As in Hanzo being the last name.

Well here's the thing: You can spell it in the Westernized way, I imagine if NRS wrote out Takeda's name, they're going to write it in the Westernized way, but in terms of actually saying someone's name out loud, it should be said according to Japanese customs. Should being the keyword here. I'm willing to bet that if Takeda's full name is spoken by Cassie for example, she'll pronounce it in the Westernized way.

To date, I don't think we've ever heard dialogue where someone has called Hanzo by his full name.
