I got impatient with the faction trophy. Don't really care for trophies. Sometimes its not very fun to try for them so I stuck with Lin Kuei.

Yeah. I almost stopped about 75% of the way through too. It was a huge pain in the A but it was a relief once I finally did it. Now I don't have to worry about switching factions again or at least not for the set or trophy.

I don't look forward to being stuck with the Special Forces background until level 50 :laugh:

Considering the fact that I still need Gambling money to unlock 80 more items in the Krypt, my Profile Level is at 60 right now, despite already having leveled 4 of the 5 Factions to 50, and still need to get 2 more 5th Faction Kills for my YouTube channel, I have all the incentive in the world to grind for both the No Loyalty Trophy AND the Dragon King set.

I wasn't sure where to post this question, so I guess it goes here, since it's faction related...

So, I finally hit level 50 on Lin Kuei last night. Got the trophy, then quickly jumped to all the factions, just to get that trophy as well. But I ended up losing all of my Kombat Kard stuff that I earned from Lin Kuei.

My question is...is there any point of switching factions? And why does it wipe all the progress that you had made, and erase all of the Kombat Kard stuff? Isn't the point of this grindy, leveling-up process to collect stuff?

I've settled on White Lotus as my new faction, mainly because I like their background more than any other except Lin Kuei. I guess my main question is...If I don't care about the "Max all 5 factions" trophy, is there any reason to ever switch factions again?

Once you get the trophies necessary, no more switching is needed. The only reason you can switch is to get the trophies needed or if you enjoy one other than the one you have.
Basically
If you don't care for trophies, you don't gotta switch, ever.

Thanks. In that case, I'll probably just stick with either Lin Kuei or White Lotus, for no other reason other than I prefer their backgrounds.
 
I like gaining trophies... but I dunno if I really want to switch factions.

I guess I'll farm points for all the factions. It's not like farming is difficult.

You don't just get a Trophy for getting to Level 50 in every Faction. You also get the Dragon King Kombat Kard set, which gives you a HUGE boost in Koins, if equipped.

I was hesitant to leave the Lin Kuei initially, particularly because I had just cracked the Top 100 on the Faction Leaderboard, and REALLY wanted to show off my Faction Loyalty, but the Koin boost from that Dragon King set was too good to pass up, and so too was an opportunity to get all the 5th Faction Kills on my YouTube channel. Obviously, I have all the ones that have been seen in proper gameplay so far.

Because the Brotherhood of Shadow won the Faction War this week. The 5th Faction Kills are only active for as long as a Faction Champion remains Champion, and only to members who contributed to that Championship (for example, if you left the Black Dragon for BoS today, you would not have access to the Silence Faction Kill, but if you did so last week and contributed War Points, you would have access to it).

Ok. I get how a player needs to be in winning faction.

But in other words, there is no way to keep that finisher permanent for any player even after the championship?
