Is that why they took, arguably, the most iconic Science Fiction character and completely reworked it by combining it with one of their own creations? That isn't risky?

Yeah, why would tons of casual players, buy a iconic character that is very known in popular culture? None of the casuals give a sh*t about how characters plays after they bought them.

Therefore, you answered your own question. They could've released 2 brand new characters or the ones community has begged like Fujin but just release some useless guest characters that will most likely never return.

Are you honestly so delusional that you think only casuals wanted a Xenomorph? I'm about as hardcore as an MK fan gets, but I'd take Alien over Fujin, Reiko or Rain ANY day. Just because I like MK doesn't mean I like every MK character.

Alien / Leatherface is targeted for the casuals / people who are likely to pay money for every single piece of MK content, whether it was trash or not. Delusional is the one says Alien and Leatherface were targeted for HC MK players. And not to mention possible GOTY edition that mentions "play as 4 iconic horror movie characters". It will sale some extra copies.

And it doesn't support MKX in any way. It's as half-assed as Predator or Jason was and to be add, they will not return and they will not support MK lore in any way.
 
I haven't been here in months and the reaction to this Kombat Pack is a blatant reminder of why that is. I'm glad there's still people like BBBLP among you to sh*t on you when you start crying over dumb stuff like this.

Agreed. Fully. Most post Mk3 characters are trash. This kombat pack is awesome.

This is a whole lot of bs right here. The Tarkatan Xeno is a huge risk taker. One of the ballsiest moves they've made in a long time. Imo, it's fantastic.

Even Bo' Rai Cho is risky as f***. NRS knows that he is hated by the majority of the fan base. Myself included. They're taking a chance by revamping him. It may pay off, it may not. We'll see.

The only thing "lazy" and "expected" in this KP is Leatherface. He's safe as f***.

As far as the XRays involving eyes go, you realise the Xenomorph is supposed to have a human-like skull underneath its dome head, right?
They ended up covering the clear skull-like features with a dome for the first Alien movie (to make the Xeno more alien-looking) but it's there (just like in Giger's original designs) and, to my knowledge, has been a subtle feature underneath that dome ever since.

Cassie Cages Fatality would have to be forsure redone. There are many others too that i have stated earlier on in the thread (you would still technically "win" the match, but if the acid sprays you in the face or you shower in it, then yes the character animation would have to be altered to show the devistating aftermath of that)!

The comment you made earlier that they can make a version of the Alien that doesnt have acid blood... that is retarded man. Thats like saying oh make a version of the T-1000 but no liquid metal... you cant take something like that out of the mix.

Do you know why the Xenomorph has Acid for blood? Its a damn defence mechanism... it has survived battles because of its acidic blood. You cant just take that away, pretend it never happend. Oh make a version of it thats different, well then im sorry it is no longer a Xenomorph from the Alien freekin franchise.

Even Xeno hybrids all have acidic blood (Alien Resurection, Alien 3, AvsP Requiem, comics, etc...) Do you remember the movie AvP? When the Predator shot its net weapon at the Xeno? The net getting tighter and tighter, as the Pred moved in for the kill?.. WTF HAPPENED? The acid blood melted the nets wires and BAM he sprung out and killed the predator! And In that very same fight scene (just a bit earlier), the Pred had cut off the end of the Xenos tail... what happened after that? The Alien got up and whipped its tail forward towards the Pred to melt his chest armor away with the X's Acidic blood.... DEFENCE MECHANISM. you cant just take that away? Thats dumb!!!

Also there have been many many many MANNNNNYYYYYY situations in the Alien stand alone franchise films where the acid blood for the Xeno has either (a) killed the victim or (b) lead to its escape to safety from its current heated situation. Either way. Acid blood stays if its a Xeno from the Alien franchise. Call it "ET" if you dont want acid blood. Lol

You can finally put your mind at ease. It's a Xeno-raka hybrid! Somewhere in the process it's blood got diluted. Problem solved.
 
so you dont have an issue with people surviving these xray moves that break bones, and crush organs, regular moves that use swords, saw blades, etc and raiden who's a god (yet can be "hurt" by humans) yet the fact that the aliens blood doesn't make sense if it lands on someone is an issue?

it's a video game - so none of that logic matters.

why is this concept so hard to understand?

Alright, no Fujin and no Reiko.. Sucks for their fans but what can you do? But there's a f'ing Tarkatamorph! I never thought it would happen.
