true, people rant on about how newer characters need a redesign, but its chameleon that deserves it the most. he could be the counterpart to Noob Saibot, instead of shadow/dark theme, he could be the Light themed ninja. Dressed in white.

abandon the color changing gimick, he should be all about ultaviolet rays and prisms and cool shit like that.

amen to that, a White Ninja would be great. either sun/light powers or ghost powers

I actually though of a moveset for him a long while back but never posted it, but they ended up simular to kenshi moves because they all involved very defensive attacks exept with light rays instead of ghost kenshi's. kinda funny, I'll his moves someday though

Well Noob is a ghost (not a wraith, a revenant says his bio, that means ghost) and his powers are based on shadow, I dont know how can you make ghost powers, but light ninja is a great idea, but not chameleon, the name and race doesnt macht with the light theme. Chameleon would be cool as another reptile, but with different powers.

Ah, I had something wrong - it IS Kano's Tattoo... but not from MK9. It's the one he had in MK vs DC.

The picture is legit, but it's of a scrapped Challenge Tower NPC: "Black Dragon Thug".

I was never that impressed with the ch(k)ameleon character but if he/she were revamped to something like this I might just have to add a new fighter to my main list. Chameleon could either counter act Noob or act as a companion. I like this idea.

I never saw the first guy (the one we are talking now) and the gray weird creature (second in the bottom row) in the challenge tower.

PS - the gray creature seems to be the creature that you can see behind a fence in goro's lair.

It's an Oni and it also appears in Goro's Lair (two variants are in the game files, "_GL_ONI" and "_PTB_ONI", obviously for the two stages). It would have likely posed some animation problems, specifically for X-Rays, had they included it as a Challenge Tower NPC.

They are challenge tower versus, this masked guy and the gray creature were dropped challenges.

He was meant to be in the game but no as a DLC, just a NPC char in the ch. tower.

yep, it's a leftover stuff that did not make it in final version as non-playable character, but, still on the disc in someway ..... generic

Yeah NRS hasnt gotten to the point where theyre scrapin the bottom of the barrell for character ideas. Especially one this lame. I think come MK10 people are gonna be surprised by the new characters NRS is gonna be turnin out. Especially since ed stated that they arent following the MK4 story. So Im hopin for some new blood come next game.

We have almost exactly the same taste ... except for Cyber Smoke. I cant understand all the mad hype for him. Why not add a cyber scorpion and the zombie version of Liu Kang? I already dont like having 2 spots for Sub Zeros, dont want to waste another spot for yet another Smoke character either.
