Well, if those "haters" (actually, the people who believe in the integrity of MK) don't get the associated compatibility pack they won't soil their MK with this abomination.

Im from Argentina, I payed 110 dollars for the game too, and I also have to buy PSN cards from ebay, the only way I can get them in my country, and this Freddy thing sucks.

Well as stunned as I was to hear the news I'm actually looking forward to playing with Freddy Krueger. And I've followed MK since the beginning in 92. I would've liked them to hold this off til halloween it wouldve made more sense. But you can't win em all. I was cool with Kratos as well but he ended up sucking ass and Freddy looks like he could fit in the MK world better. I know everyones up in arms about him but the fact is. You don't have to play as him. Essentially for people with the season pass he's free. If you don't have the pass don't download him. I'm not by any means an elitist. So as long as they keep these characters out of the story and MK lore I'm fine. Its just a fighting game and only wanting MK characters is reasonable but it doesn't make you hardcore it makes you closed minded. After all this isn't like NRS is throwing a random character in that doesn't fit the asthetic. Its a fighting game not an RPG or really story based game peoples reaction to this is akin to if square enix announced spawn was joining the next kingdom hearts. Freddy can work awesome in this game if he's done right. As far as the video goes he looks awesome. I wouldve rather they waited and gave us cyber smoke or tremor but what's done is done. The only way ill be pissed is if this is the last DLC character.

You're kinda right. I was hoping for something similar to the scene in Nightmare part 3, were Freddy turns into a T.V. screen, and shoves your head head into it, and then proceeds to gouge your eyes with his claws. But I'm fine with the X-Ray he has, unlike some people, who have to throw a tantrum like babies.

I just don't get why he was picked, you would think they caught on to all the dislike behind Kratos

Watching his gameplay, he has cool moves, sweet fatalities, but at the same time I am disappointed as I would want an MK character. It is frustrating cuz I bought MK because i want to play MK. Now I am not saying this is the end of the world to me, all I am saying is that its irritating. it just comes off as "oh you wanted to play Mortal Kombat characters in this Mortal Kombat game, alright have Freddy Krueger, that's good enough right?"

why is it ok for Kratos to be in it and not Freddy? you're a MK fan too? Well guess what, me too and i think him being in the game is gonna be cool. he's a dream demon... ok, why does that mean he can't be in the game? Kratos is based off of greek mythology and is in MK9, 2 different time periods. i honestly don't understand why everybody is so mad, i mean in a way i get it because everyone was asking for Tremor, cyber-smoke, and fujin and they got this random surprise, but this is a really good surprise.

i've never been a fan of the nightmare on elm. street series and if anyone searches "sans power" they'll see i'm an exclusive umk3 player and i'm sure you'll see tons of rants about how shitty i think every MK after umk3 is. however, MK9 to me is the best MK they've made, so this is coming from a hardcore fan that never liked any of the 3d games. people need to relax, cuz first off, if they keep releasing popular post mk3 characters, where's the fun gonna go when MK10 comes out? they can't keep releasing those chars, they have a story they wanna build on and i don't wanna get a new MK with the same 30+ chars in it.

that's what was good and bad about MK, they weren't afraid to try new things, although they failed miserably cuz of major game play transitions, they still built popular characters even during their shitty era. so, that being said, i'm excited to have freddy in the game, ya it would have been nice to have the robert version and i also don't get the 2 gloves, but still. he looks awesome and he'll be allowed at tournaments since he's not console exclusive.

so stop *****ing, you'll get tremor, tonya, fujin, shinnok, jarek, and all the other post mk3 chars when mk10 comes out. that's when they should come out, i was getting worried NRS was gonna blow their load too soon.
