Raiden Vignette Debuts on GameSpot

An early <b>Fatality Friday</b> is upon us, as <b>GameSpot</b> posted a new <a href="http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/mortalkombat9/video/6302850">Raiden Vignette video</a> for <a href="http://www.trmk.org/games/mortal_kombat_9/">Mortal Kombat (2011)</a> today. In this video we get our first look at both <b>X-ray</b> and <b>Fatality</b> moves on what appears to be a new level with a pathway next to a water feature. Also, we get a quick glimpse of <b>Sheeva</b> on the roster of evil.

Anyone care to take a guess as to what level is in the vignette?

The level just looks like Shang Tsungs Gardens (not sure its official name yet)...I just want to know who the guy next to Sheeva is?
 
Best thing about this: Sheeva! So happy to finally get a glimpse of her, she looks pretty cool from what's shown
 
Awesome video! But has anyone else noticed that during the xray that Baraka's skull is normal. Instead of having big teeth etc..
 
Brilliant! I saw Sheeva there too. Mileena should've slammed the opponent's head to the ground like that in her second fatality so it would be better right after she ripped the victim's body off the legs.

Good Lord, Raiden's X-Ray attack and fatality are vicious. Hopefully he won't be slow cause I know I'll be using him online with those moves they've shown us.
 
Raiden looks tite, happy to see sheeva as well. Im liking what they did to her from what i can see. Raiden looks like he is going to be awesome.

I noticed that. Maybe it will be changed by the final release. Maybe this footage is from a while back and they are just putting it up. Maybe.

If it's not then I'll eat a damn shoe. Anyway, I know there are people who are complaining already about Raiden have a cut point fatality. How many ways are there to kill a person? Similar fatalities have always been a part of MK. Besides all that this is only one out of three of his fatalities (it was confirmed three per fighter somewhere) so lets not panic yet.

I'm hoping they will because they had the skulls in the Inside The X-Ray video.

Historically from what I've heard is that these Vignettes are based off much older game footage. Just takes a while for them to complete them and then also be ready to show us. I wouldn't worry about it because they clearly have better skull models for him and the rest of the big teethed characters now as seen in that other video.
