Are we counting on Kabal due to his appearance on the announcement of the stream or is there anything I lost these two days?
 
You guys think we'll get a trailer tomorrow? They usually do a trailer then the Kombat Kast later in the week.

But towards the end of Injustice 2 they started showing the gameplay trailers the day of the Kasts, which is really underwhelming imo

I wonder who else are the actors they scanned.

Raiden looks a lot like his previous appearances, so either they had the same dude to model after, or they found someone VERY close.

Being broken is a defining part of Kabal's character. Nerfing him would be like taking the Spear and Ice Ball away from Scorpion and Sub-Zero respectively.

And yet, that's what NRS does to characters that are deemed too "broken" by the community.
MKX Triborg and MK9 Sub-Zero's combo'ed into Ground Freeze just to name a couple of examples.
NRS nerfs them to hell.
 
Triborg is still one of the best characters in MKX.

Kabal definitely needs to be top tier at least. It wouldn't make sense for him to suck
 
Sure, but wasn't either the Sektor or Cyrax Triborg variation nerfed to hell?

I'm not saying that he shouldn't be great in gameplay, but this fanbase is so fickle when it comes to "nerf X" or "buff X," in general, when people lose a few matches online.
 
I do like Kabal better as a good character than as a villain. I hope he stays as a good guy because I like his origin that they give him in MK9 with him being a police officer after leaving the Black Dragon.
 
I think Kabal will at least be decent. His hook swords will hopefully give him nice range, and Nomad Dash has always been a good whiff punish. Like most specials, I doubt it'll give a free combo without meter though.

One thing to keep in mind is that we have absolutely no idea what these guys' story roles will be. It's possible that Kabal's presence in the story mode will be as tiny as any of the Revenants in MKX - e.g. Smoke (+ playable fights), Kung Lao, Kitana, etc. If that's the case then smart money's on him just staying as a Revenant in Liu Kang's army.
