To be honest this is a subjective topic. As an artist, I find the designs lackluster and boring. Like I mentioned before. If people are ok with this, then that's awesome. But for me personally MK11 art direction so far, is boring. I have seen it already and doesn't sell me as exotic.

Well. To be honest I see that happening. MK11 is one of the most anticipated games. Epic Store is right now grabbing all anticipated games. Division 2 and just now Metro: Exodus (right before the launch). Even Steam was caught off guard.

Wouldn't be surpised if they grabbed MK11 as well.

Premium Edition means pre-purchasing Kombat Packs which likely include guests, which I will not do.
As per usual with MK games, I vote with my wallet and buy the separate MK DLC characters that I want.
Dunno, I might just get an old PS3 or Blu-Ray case and just print out a better MK11 logo that I found for the cover.

Fujin is definitely going to be in, I am sure this time around. He should have been already in MKX.

Yeah, they will add more slots for DLC, but the main roster will still be 25, if MKX is anything to go by.

Mileena has a chance because by default she belongs to the "untochable" f-ing MKII list (and she's Derek's favorite), which people will send NRS threats to if she isn't in (I've seen plenty of "Mileena or we riot" 'tards on social media and reddit), so they'll cave into the vocal minority.
Quan Chi, nah, I hope that he sits this one out, since the timeline merging / time travel pretty much makes his whole necromancer shtick pretty useless.

Certain characters from the OLD 3D era are meh, but that doesn't mean that NRS can't give them a proper revamp like they did in MK9 and MKX for Kenshi, Tanya and Bo Rai Cho.
I still don't like Bo Rai Cho, but he sure as hell is 100% better than his 3D era counterpart.

Yeah, Skarlet does look like some crazy Earthrealm mage with blood powers. I don't really see anything "outworld" about her. Perhaps a manager is needed here... At least with Ermac they turned him into a mummy.

Subby and Scorpion should share similar attire, there's lore behind this. I'm more bored with their actual costumes. Subby should use his Shredder costume or something. Looks so goofy in his primary, with that piece of cloth just levitating behind his head, wtf...

Yeah well. Metro: Exodus is coming at February 15th. It literally just got taken from Steam couple of days ago. With the condition that peorders will be honored and Metro will come out on Steam next year. I can see the same happening with MK11. Anyone who preordered on Steam, will get it on Steam. While other future purchases will go through Epic.
 
What is this bullshit about Metro Exodus not on Steam anymore?? I was actually looking forward to play that game. MK11 on Steam or no buy.

Ha. That's not how it works. Gaming industry needed a good conflict. Everything became so stagnant and rotting. Competition always brings out good stuff. SJW's and every other censoring idiot immediately disappears, as fight for survival has no place for them.

Just like vegetarians. They can push their stuff, because society allows them. If we had food shortages, they would shut up and eat meat like everyone else.

This competition between Steam and Epic will bring out innovations. As long as Epic keeps kicking them where it hurts.

I wish MK had competition, so we wouldn't have to deal with this censorship shit.
 
MK .... does have competition, maybe not on the same degree as the games also sell hotcakes but still, also this is just a personal thing but can we stop slinging around buzzwords like "SJW" and "Censorship". It was funny a few years ago and while there was room to complain in many instances, I just cringe everytime somebody uses it in an argument nowadays.

I don't have the time nor patience to read through another ToS, install more crap with some shady spyware, make account and basically be an unpaid beta tester. I think you're very naive to believe that a new "competitor" is better for the industry, while in reality it's just another greedy corporation looking to suck on that vidya game $$$ tit.

Epic will prolly get good revenue from it but I don't see them overtaking Steam for a long time, it's too ingrained in industry culture at this point. We'll have to wait and see.

And yes Street fighter is alongside a good chunk of 2D fighters (and some 3D too, as Tekken always kills it in sales).

MK doesn't have direct competition. Their design is unique. I am talking gore, and other finishers. MK is one of the kind. Even Killer Instinct doesn't come close, even though it has some blood.

Also... sigh... ignorance is a bliss eh?

So please. If you had "fun" during that time. Then keep it to yourself. For me it is just Tuesday, but other artists who draw or create their own stuff, have to deal with this shit. On daily basis. Especially if you're semi popular.

Not to mention you're literally doing what SJW do. "I don't like this, so don't use it".

SJWsm IS a thing and pretending like it doesn't exist or just a minor problem is the same as sticking your fingers inside your ears and just go "lalalalalal can't hear you!". It's being willingly ignorant or just plain lying. I don't think another Origin is the answer for this, however.

I don't want to pollute this thread but there's a lot of facts that show the SJW effect on the industry the than otherwise.
 
Not to linger on this topic because it's unhealthy, while yes it sucks to have your work criticized on that level, what I'm saying is slinging words like "SJW" and factionalizing people solves nothing and in the end makes you no better than them. I've seen this fight go on between SJW and anti-SJW's for so long that at this point it seems like both sides have gone awry. I'm sick of it and just want to play my gorey martial arts game.

Wait... you're using EA as comparison? AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Man, you're funny.

They can't make a game to save their life. Just because some people called it "Steam killer" it doesn't mean shit. Most of the people just rolled their eyes on Origin, because we knew it was gonna fail. All EA did was just make a platform so they can take all of THEIR games and publish without taxes.

Epic on other hand. Remind me again, which company took games right under the nose of Steam? Do you realize, how much that costs to Epic? They have to cover sales for WHOLE year. If that's greed, that's some risky greed.

I am not saying that Epic could be or will be the saint. But no other company kicked Steam in the balls like Epic. These two games definitely hurt Steam. Both Division 2 and Metro. So I am hoping that Epic will continue doing that, which will force Steam to wake up.

Epic is already a far better option for indies. So now they are trying to make sure that AAA games come there as well.

And no Street Fighter stopped being competition since... 4? They have two very different communities and game styles. Hell even SonicFox couldn't handle SFV, on how different it was.

My last take on the topic as well. I don't generalize people I don't know. If I mention someone, is because I mention someone I know or have experience with.

Once again you have simple option. You can ignore my messages, when I add "SJW" or "Censorship". But this thing is a massive problem for creative side, so I am not gonna plug my ears, cover my eyes and be silent.

And yeah sure. Because I bring up that censorship exists, makes me the same as the people who sent death threats and try to tell how and what to create. While I just spend my time drawing and modeling. Ok. Man. Whatever floats your boat.
 
You guys talk about the negatives about characters looking like Earthrealmers (Skarlet) but yet they made other characters move away from that look. Shao Kahn no longer looks like just a big human.
