Kombat pack 3 official thread

so yeah
weather you liked the KP2 decisions or not you cant help but notice the lack of story mode characters that a lot of people were predicting to be in KP2 like

Sindel
Frost
Fujin
Rain
Sereena
etc

just got a sneaking suspicion that theres going to be a KP3 coming further down the road that is focused more on story characters and not guests. especially when you consider most the character models and gameplay are already done and that KP2 had zero female characters in it.

do you suspect a KP3? / do you want a KP3?
if so who do you want to see?
 
Yes! I was just talking about this last night to my buddy. They still can make an awesome KP3 with characters that are in high demand. I was hoping Fujin, Spawn and Baraka would be in kp2 but we got the sweet tarkatan xenomorph so I'm fine with that.

interesting... im a huge Baraka fan and hes one of my mains. i also love the alien creature however i cant help but feel disappointment that were not getting the real Baraka and ive no interest in using that alien hybrid thing :/ its just not the same

i agree they need to move on to next game. however if the characters are already near complete then from a business standpoint NRS would be silly not to just do it. these big companies are super greedy and its all about the $$$$ so im actually starting to think its more likley than unlikley

Don't get me wrong Baraka is my 2nd fav mk character next to kung lao, but I can see why they added the xeno. I think it stems from them not being able to come up with 3 quality variations for him, while I'm betting 1 variation of the xeno will be dedicated to him. But we must wait for gameplay before jumping to conclusions.
 
They wont do a KP3. I didn't even this they'd do a KP2. And besides, they'd probably just give us more guest characters.
 
They better have Li Mei, Sareena, Nitara, Sindel, and/or JADE for DLC in MKX. AT LEAST ONE OF THOSE CHICKS!!!!
 
They're not doing KP3, IMO.
KP2 then they'll likely start working on something new.
My guess is that by E3 2016 they'll be announcing Injustice 2 or whatever their next project is.
I've lost all hopes of of ever seeing Fujin in MKX, and IF he does show up, it'll be in MK11 either in 2019 or 2020 on PS5 and X2.
NRS decided to turn this into Terrordome, and I'm not supporting anymore guests in MKX.
I'm just waiting for the new costumes, DLC stage and Bo Rai Cho.
I may give Tri-Borg a shot, after thinking about it some more, but Barak-alien and Leatherface can screw themselves.
 
They need to move on to the next game. If we ask for more Kombat Packs then they'll screw us like add 3 guest characters and only one MK fighter. I'd only be open for Fujin as a final standalone DLC character with maybe a stage to go with him and I'll gladly pay 8 bucks or something around there for that.
 
I got a friend that has a friend that knows someone that works for NRS and he said he got info on the four top choices for kp3.

Pinhead,Chucky(5'8" tall for balance porpuses),Spawn withouth cloak and stryker!!!

Oh man, can't wait!!!

While DLC to this point has been mainly focused on characters, one of the major elements of the past two Mortal Kombat games has been their story content. While Boon cites that additional story would require intensive resources, the idea of a DLC story has not been entirely ruled out.

"We've talked about it," Boon added. "It's a lot of data, a lot of content, but that's absolutely part of a long-term plan. People really tend to love our story modes, so to be able to give them new content is always something we're hoping to work out."

Since KP2 will sell like crazy, it's pretty much almost a given. Even with Injustice 2.

I never saw MKX as a regular MK game. To me it always looked like a longterm project, because it just makes sense. Hence the "X" in the title. The "X" is much more than just "10".

I said it before and I'll say it again. MKX can very well be the last MK game of this generation. Why make a brand new one, which would be in every way subpar and inferior, when you can just keep updating the existing product?

We won't get a KP3, I highly doubt we'll be getting 12 DLC Chars in total. MKXKE will probably be out around august 2016.

But what do I know? I said the exact same thing about KP2 about 2 months ago.

First off, KP2 might not sell as crazy as people think it would. I guarantee a large ton of Casual's won't want Bo Rai Cho in their game or just dont care enough to buy the season pass. People are going to become rabid animals over an AvP battle, so I can promise you without a doubt, that Alien will be the most purchased in the pack solo, followed by Leatherface, followed by Tri-Borg, etc.

MKX won't be the last game, especially with that kind of cliffhanger.

MKX had a cliffhanger at the end of the story mode, I want to see where the story mode goes next. With the timeline now changed, I want to see what new and original ideas that they have in plan. I don't want KP3 because I really don't want them to milk the game dry. I want them to move on to do other games and MK11.
