Ideas for MK11

I think once the next MK game comes out, they might have to reduce the variation system to 2 instead of 3, especially if we get more than 30 kombatants. I love the system, but like the others above me said, need some balancing reworking.

Also I agree that a new sub-boss is badly needed, for not only intimidating for treading to prepare for final boss, but also for the challenge, especially now that Goro in MK9-X was a major disappointed fight.

There's one thing they definitely NEED to add in the next game: A time-over animation for losing a round. Honestly, it looks extremely awkward and ridiculously weird seeing the fighters fall down once the time reaches 0, despite taking only one hit or not. For example: If Kung Lao loses the round by time over, he throws his razor-edged hat to the ground hard in anger before picking it back up and resumes his fighting stance.

Omg I love this idea, holy shit. I never knew I wanted this before now lol

I don't know why there's such a need for a traditional zoning character to be transformed into a rush-down machine in another variation.

Because people who play rush-down want a their favorite character to match that in at least 1 variation.
I was tired as hell of playing as slow ass, defensive / zoning MK9 Sub-Zero, because he didn't fit my play-style and I moved on to Rain and Nightwolf.
I'm super happy that MKX at least gives me that option to use a rush-down Sub-Zero now in "Cryomancer."

I don't see Li Mei doing anything in this timeline.

She became a fighter after her village became enslaved by the Deadly Alliance. With her village under attack in this story, you'd think she would join the fight. Instead she just talked.

It's a nice appearance change since I never cared for her original look but I don't see Li Mei coming back for a while.

I actually made a list earlier of all the things that MK11 should improve on from MKX..Its a long read.

1. Customizable Costumes - Similar to the newer Tekken games or maybe MKA. There should be a way to customize different parts of your characters. The "unlocking preset costumes" is getting old. Some people like classic, sorry, KLASSIC Reptile but some people like new, so maybe if there were a way to COMBINE different features (Reptilian Head with ninja outfit). It should be in.

2. More Stages - Let's face it, the environment and setting are what makes Mortal Kombat so great! We all remember The Pit, Dead Pool, Shang Tsungs Palace and all the amazing tunes that go with it. I loved the stages in MKX, however, 13 is an unforgivably low amount. Same as the laziness in the story mode like in Kotal's chapter where one minute they start off fighting on a road...next second they're in Outworld MarketPlace..WHAT? There's so much you can do with Mortal Kombat its insane. Also, I love metal music as much as the next guy, but I don't like how forced it felt in some stages just because its the "modern" thing to do.

3. More mini-modes like in Deception that add onto replay value, making the player want to PLAY MORE! MK11 will likely be released around 2019, gamers want more than just simple one on one fighting. Chess Kombat, Puzzle Kombat, and even Motor Kombat added on to the good memories I had with some of the older games.

4. Better Netcode - The Netcode sucks in MKX. 'Says I have good connection, yet I can barely pull off a combo the input delay is so bad. Really hurt MKX for me.

5. Extra Content - The Kontent in MKX within the krypt is a bit disappointing. A ton of it is just Brutalities, those "cutie Icons", etc. It was fun seeing the random crap come out of MKDA, like those silly blooper videos, crazy promo renders and all those unreleased demos. In MK11, they should make the player feel rewarded, include some demos of arcade titles or something, I don't care if it means getting rid of the "point-and-click" aesthetic, cause players aren't there to say "Ooh pretty Bump maps!", no we're there to unlock things.

6. Micro-transactional stuff - Having players pay over $120 to unlock the whole is asinine. Pack all the content within the title, because no one likes this Micro-Transactional crap. That "Blue Steel Sub-Zero" is a blue skin of that "Gold Scorpion", which might I say looks terrible, and they expect us to pay 2 dollars for them separate?! ...Shame. I remember seeing the behind the scenes video for how it was made and thought "umm, yeah, I know your having fun and feel inspired...but your designs look crappy, and I truly don't know what NRS saw in your project".

7. New Engine - Get a new engine. Its been the same since MKvsDC (which I just got recently, whole lot of fun to play). It definitely has worked, but c'mon we got to move on!

8. Tag-Team - Bring back 2 on 2, maybe even 3 on 3 (from MKT). Whole ton of fun to play

9. Improve Story Mode - Remember the Challenge Tower from MK9? Remember all the different little Scenarios the game threw at us? Why didn't they implement that in the story? Also! Don't make a crap character like Cassie the protagonist ever again. Reptile as the Hero would make more sense....

10. I know I'm the only one to think this, but...I kind of want Mortal Kombat to go back to 3D, not going to explain why, it could be because I grew playing between MKT and MK4, but personally I'm just tired of 2D. Its been done so many times in recent fighters.

Rant over.

Li Mei is was rather timid in the new timeline. OTL Li Mei would've kicked Mileena's ass or died trying when the Amulet was unleashed.

Well to new time line Li Mei's defense. We haven't seen too much of her personality. Other than the fact she lead the Outworld refugees to Earthrealm and aided Sonya with intel. We don't know much about Li Mei's fighting capabilities. I would personally hope Li Mei is very much a capable fighter like in the former timeline.

I don't agree with 3D MK and I mostly don't agree with this part of #6.

I don't like micro-transactions, either, but while I also don't care for Blue Steel Sub-Zero or Gold Scorpion, ALL of the proceeds from the Blue Steel Sub-Zero skin purchases are going towards MKX Tournaments and that's a GOOD thing.

Why not have the unpopular 3D characters as NPC? I don't think anyone would care if Darrius and Dairou where NPC in the story mode.

People like Havik, Kenshi and Bo Rai Cho. I was expecting MKX to have post-MK4 characters as cameos just to kill them off.
Those aren't the unpopular ones. They can be in as many games as they want. And BRC is too important to the story anyway.

Co-sign. I said exactly the same thing in a previous post. Glad I'm not the only one that didn't get the "I'm not a fighter, please don't hurt me" vibe from Li Mei.

MK11 needs a new sub-boss though. We are long over due for a new sub-boss since MKX could have revamp Moloch or created a new sub-boss for the game. Moloch had potential to be good, but he came off as a generic boss in MKDA. With his ball on his hand, they could have done some brutal x-rays and fatalities with it.

How would you make Moloch unique? I never saw much in him but maybe you're seeing something I different. When I saw him and Drahmin, I immediately thought of Dumb & Dumber. Both were really goofy looking (Drahmin unmasked and Moloch's howling are prime examples of that) and just super random. Its like, one guy is a demonic Lord of the Flies and the other is some blue ape with a bowling ball attached to his hand. I think, to be honest, Moloch was the easiest sub boss in MK's history. Last but not least, Quan Chi gave him one hell of a cameo in his intro.

If Shang Tsung does return then I hope to see Kenshi kill him off. In MKX, Scorpion kill off Quan Chi for tricking him into lies and Quan Chi's death really work in my opinion. Kenshi most likely still wants to kill Shang Tsung for letting him almost die in the past.

Kreate A Fighter but NOT Kreate a Fatality. What Jin said, but why would you make all those characters not playable?! AND ERMAC? Are you out of your mind? Erron Black is a NEW character and in the next game not playable? WTH? Have you got something against playable characters Jin?

Shujinkko should be added mandead

Also, why would you kill off takeda after just ONE GAME?

And Havik was only in 2 or 3 if im correct.

I dont understand why people think if they die in story mode they can't be playable.

NPC fighters can be fine. Deception had NPC fighters for the Konquest mode and it's better then having filler fights of the same characters over again.
