[SPOILER] Everything about story mode. Pics, videos, discussion, etc.

I see.
I didn't know that until now.
Must've missed it in the Armageddon Konquest mode.
I feel like it was in Konquest and I just remembered it.

It's Shinnok's ending. But most people think that all of those endings are non canon.

His ending was partially canon. Well, of course this conversation can be non canon, but it's too much evidence.

A bit of a dumb question. When the Special Forces team is with Li Mei, who is the person whose ''eyes glowed red'' who was mentioned?

Most of the intro dialogues are not canon as well as ladder endings. The things that belong to canon are:
-characters' biographies
-konquest modes
-story modes
-comics (MK1, MK2, MK4, MK:D and MKX)
*some of ladder endings, but we learn about that in the next game

I believe that's all.

I was wondering - can you choose your opponents' skins in traditional ladder? I guess you can't and dat sux coz the most often I would use the canon skins that appear in Story Mode.

That was my guess but I'm still not sure...thanks anyway for the answer.

Of course it's Kano. She says "one of his eyes glowed red", and Sonya goes after him.

She even says that she is going to catch him exactly on that moment.

Then, on Sonya's chapter, Li Mei talks about him once again.

They just recorded the ones initiated by F/T themselves for most part I think. There was also one more for Kenshi - the ready, set, go one.

Pity, this was a tough game for Quan Chi :D

I don't know why Quan Chi didn't just teleport. I guess NRS wants him to sit out in mk11.

If you could choose your opponents skins in the Traditional Tower, then I'd select all the Tournament versions.
Some of the default versions of the skins on the main roster are non-canon anyways (Liu, Lao, Kitana, Sub-Zero, Scorpion), so I don't see why it matters.

That's the point, most of the times I don't like using (or fighting against) the characters with non-canon skins, even in normal arcade ladder, but this time you cannot avoid it in any way. Shame.

Blame NRS for making those non-canon skins the defaults for Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Kitana, Sub-Zero and Scorpion, then.

I'm 100% with you, though.
I'd rather have the revenant versions of each of those characters be the default, too, with their human versions being unlockable in the Krypt.

I feel like unless you main Liu Kang, Kung Lao, and/or Kitana, your opinion on this matter really shouldn't count. Characters are supposed to look good to the people playing as them first and foremost.

I know that if I was a Liu Kang player and his revenant outfit was his default appearance, and I was forced to use his default skin at a tournament, I'd be pissed.

Do you HAVE TO use the default skin during tournaments? If you don't, I don't see any problem in making the canon skins the default ones. People whined about Liu Kang's default skin in MK:D and MK:A but it made sense storywise and for me it was good. But NRS seems to avoid many unpopular decisions regarding MKX and I think they feared to make the canon revenants the default because of negative reception. Shame again.

I use Sub-Zero a lot, but regardless, why would my opinion matter less.
My opinion isn't any less than yours because you use a character that I may not.

Sub-Zero should have had his revenant skin or his UMK3 Kuai-Liang skin as the default (IMO) as they are relevant to the story, and yes, this coming from a Sub-Zero player.
Isn't the whole game (including DLC characters and skins) unlocked when you go to tournaments?
I could have sworn that it was, hence why Rain, Kenshi, Skarlet and Freddy were unlocked at tournaments for MK9.
Plus, I'm pretty sure that a tournament player cares more about winning than if he's winning with a revenant version or regular "what if" version of the character.

20% of the roster don't have the Story Mode skins as their defaults (Lao, Kitana, Hanzo, Kuai, Liu). IMO that's a lot and that sux. Even one character would be a lot

If Shinnok got to the pyramid and "killed" his clone, wouldn't that mean Shao Kahn ended up killing him? I don't think two Shinnoks fighting would go un-noticed amid a sea of dead bodies.

Unless Shinnok just ran away after killing his clone, I don't see him surviving Armageddon if this dialogue is canon.

His clone killed Kung Lao, who killed Baraka, who killed Sub-Zero, who killed Scorpion, who killed Noob Saibot. With some more information we could eventually figure out in which order the deaths occured.

The dialogue says that he didn't kill, but it seems like it's only a reference, or as Raiden and Scorpion's mirror matches, some kind of time travel/dimension travel.

The official and canon version is that during Armageddon Shinnok sent his clone to battle, and this clone was killed (I don't remember if there's info by whom). Shinnok was all the time imprisoned in Netherrealm. The rest we see in the beginning of MK2011 Story Mode. But what happened with Taven though? He was the one who killed Blaze, but what events led to MK2011 intro? Did Shao Kahn eventually kill Taven as well?

Or Taven was alive and thought something like: "OK, I did what I was supposed to do. I avenged my parents by killing my brother and I killed Blaze so my work is done. I'm going home."?

As far as I understood, he ascended as an Elder God after he defeated Blaze, sharing all his strenght with the kombatants, afterwards Shao Kahn made his way to the top followed by Raiden.

It is presumed Shao Kahn killed Onaga before returning to the battlefield.
