Like I said I kinda like Mileena. And I don't believe what I said about her, I was just trying to show Temptress how his/her logic could be applied to any character and that it doesn't really mean anything, I used his/her fav just because that way it's easier for him/her to understand it.

Sorry if it sounded like I was being mean or something, it was definetely not my intention.

I remember facing kratos and kung lao far more than scorpion but I didn't go online with it much

Besides, I don't think that Mileena is childlike; she's more so power hungry & savage. She doesn't really care for attention, either.

Oh wait were you talking just in this game? Then well there's only one fire ninja, Scorpion. And if we talk about all the ninjas in general, well you could say there are... what? 3 of them? Scorpion, Takeda and Sub-Zero (being Subbie just a ninja because of his looks), Reptile is a saurian and Ermac is corpse with a warlock outfit who hosts thousands of souls, so they are not ninjas.

We could go like this for ages, we just like different characters.

What on earth are you rambling about? I asked you to name another character that is similar to Mileena because you said that there are plenty of other characters just like her. How did this turn into an argument about ninjas?

What did you expect from a community that dismiss Shao Kahn(!) as "generic" and then bleat when Ninja Clone #2598324059834-GH6 and Ninja Clone #23534534.6_TR2 haven't been included in the roster to spam their derivative wares -- diversity in character selection?

And I don't know of what "ninja clones" are you talking about... Scorpion and Takeda look nothing alike. Maybe Subbie and Scorpion look somewhat similar but that's because their outfits are a classic, but that's it, there are no "ninja clones" in the game.
 
I keep hearing from several different people that the netcode is a huge improvement over MK9

How's it for you guys??
 
Let's be honest, Mileena was also noobish in MK9 most players did nothing but spam her EX teleport and sai blast after that. Scorpion might be noob friendly in this game as well but after I saw the kold war gameplay video and there were some impressive combos. And who cares if most ppl use Scorp? That's just gonna be easy wins/chances to experiment with characters you normally don't use. And after a year most players will be the hardcore fans.

Mileena in MK9 is basically Azula from Avatar condensed into 5 lines of dialogue.

Cruel, deranged, approximately as emotionally mature as a 5 year old, pathetically loyal to her Emperor father, has a sibling rivalry.

Eh, I don't really see any similarities between Mileena & Azula. Azula had a flawless demeanour; she was narcissistic, confident, and she never lost her composure. Her mentality crumbled after being betrayed by her friends, which led to her developing psychosis. Only then did she display any sort of deranged or childlike behaviour.
 
I could see Goro being used a lot. Powerful, seems quick, and spammy moveset.

Takeda's another one. Sure, people will use Scorpion, but that's like getting pissed off at people who use Ryu in SF. I'm a Ken guy, myself. I guess that's like using Sub Zero.

By "deranged" I meant sociopathic, which Azula has been her entire life, same as Mileena.

As for childlike behavior, Azula requires attention and love from others (see: how she treats her mother, how she pressgangs Ty Lee back into service at the circus, how she approaches dating in the beach episode), she's completely and totally self-centered, and she's deeply envious of anything others have that she doesn't. This doesn't scream emotional immaturity to you?

Azula was better at projecting a dignified front, but I'm sure Mileena will step up her game in MKX as well. Anyway, my point isn't that they're carbon copies, but that if you want to call Scorpion a rehash of other characters, we can play that game with anyone on the cast.
 
I'm glad they change Mileena's teleport, finally might be able to punish her EX version followed by sais. Also noticed Ermac's teleport is faster than Scorpion's which is surprising.
