Because it's so much better to have them as NPCs and make an extra buck later, while keeping the same old ones in the roster.

Also, it's not like they made dead characters alive again in order to include them while leaving characters that are relevant to the story behind, right? Right? Ah, to hell with that BS.
PS.: Then again there are people complaining that Kabal isn't playable, so imagine the riots we would have if Jax and Sonya weren't.

Its most likely a placeholder for Tanya until she drops as DLC. When she does, she will get her own stance and moves.

Obviously they didn't give her any moveset in the story, you need to seriously think before you assume she will have all of those moves and stances after she becomes DLC. She's gonna be her own character after they put in work. Right now she is only an NPC.
And what's a 'best huge fail'

maybe you have reason, but her design is really a huge fail.......... also very based on milenna, look to her legs!!!!!, is more is the exact 3d body skelly of milenna............ and happened the same in mk9 with stupid skarlet (is sonya) and stupid rain (is kenshi + unmasked subzero).
 
Wow, I love how much they actually make a point that it's Li Mei.
She looks like she's wearing battle wear as well. She could be DLC some day. Or at least should be.
Anymore story up? I don't like ending it at such a cliffhanger.

The people with copies of the game should just record the entire thing and spread links to the videos. They know that the streams will be banned, there's no point doing it only to have the thing stopped before it's over.
 
Ugh. I was excited to see how that Raiden VS Kung Jin aftermath went.
Hopefully we'll have people upload the entire story by tomorrow. Since people are already getting copies.
