Or a double-bluff; i.e. he does have it surgically removed. ;)

I don't see him pulling an arm off a random Tarkatan (?) NPC. Yeah, it's possible, but it'd have much more of an impact if it were from Baraka.

That's what I want to happen, anyway, but obviously I could well be wrong.

Comics =/= game.

Plus, if you take a look at the stream, the blade consists of the whole severed skeletal Tarkatan arm + the blade.
It's not JUST the blade.

yes, there's no argument here. it's just not baraka's arm according to the comic artist. now in game ?

yeah but like i said i find that too predictable and expected.

they could have a character come along and steal the cyber tech and make their own cyborg that isnt lin kuei, and doing it for either good or evil intentions
 
My hopes of Baraka being playable in the game pretty faded awhile back, BUT I still have hope that he will have a decent role in the game. Not just a punching bag to other characters!
 
I love Baraka, he's one of my all time favorites, but his role in any MK game will never be any more complex than this

Yes, but the comics take place BETWEEN MK9and MKX.
Meaning, after the comics he can still get killed in the game.
All the evidence in post #43 points to Baraka getting killed off.
It doesn't look good for him.

It could be any Tarkatan though. Not necessarily Baraka.

He said that might be Baraka's arm. It is planned hype! They know how to keep things fun and interesting. :fight:
 
It's obvious Baraka loses an arm then gets kicked into a fire pit somehow surviving then becomes the almighty NEW Drahmin.

But seriously, would you care if it was even Baraka? How would you feel if there was a new Tarkatan entirely, would it matter it's not Baraka? Because that seems to be a high possibility for MK 11, even a new Shokan, Sub Zero, Earthrealm Champion, Black & Red Dragon members, numerous offspring but all those have variety whereas I feel a new Tarkatan wouldn't have a huge difference from Baraka (Unless Shang Tsung created a Shokan/Tarkatan hybrid in his chamber somewhere)
